I found the other day that Bovada, because they wanted me to change my password, lets you bet on Table tennis as well. The Russian, Ukranian, and Czech Pro leagues are still running apparently.

Why is betting on TT such a surprise? Bettors care about action, not the sport. Many matches are now broadcasted live. But as one of the articles stated, it would be better if there was a system. The 11-point games really don't lend a good system for this. To use one of the Westchester tournaments as an example, a player could lose 11-8 to Robert Gardos and it really doesn't look that bad. But in reality, it actually is bad at that level. World Championship of Ping Pong has a better set up for betting with 15-point games. A winner or favorite is clearly understandable to a casual observer if they win something like 15-10, their level is much higher and if they win 15-13, you know the two players are pretty close in level.

I suppose to the true degenerate the real thrill comes from betting on matches between players nobody has ever heard of.

Big story in the New York Times:

Think Americans Wouldn’t Wager on Russian Table Tennis? Care to Bet?

The obscure, low-tech competitions grew popular during the pandemic. Interest remains strong among gamblers.

...

“It’s crazy to think I’ve made hundreds of dollars watching old guys play Ping-Pong in Russia,” said Shayan Ahmad, 23, of North Brunswick, N.J., one of many new, eager table tennis gamblers.

...

“It’s fun, it’s random, and it feels like anything can happen,” said Isaiah Croft, 23, a furniture builder from Chesapeake, Va., who bets on the DraftKings website during frequent trips to Denver, where he grew up. “It’s Russian table tennis. It’s exhilarating.”

There's even a guide on reddit. Turns out table tennis is an exciting sport for gambling, even better than football and tennis. WTT should take note.

Yes! That's what I'm talking about.  This is a really, really good change.  Although the link was more about betting decision flowchart, it was nice to see some detailed analysis.  I wanna see obsessive statistical analysis for TT someday much like in baseball ex. serve placement, receive type, point finishing shot placements, unforced errors, etc.  I think one guy made some sort of app like this for TT.

Next change, we gotta get that service line like I've written before to get these serve umpiring (either too much or too little) under control.  TT can basically copy teqball minus the curved table, just have the line closer.  I say three feet away from the table and do whatever you want - hidden serves, low toss, etc.  Just no finger spins.  Oh, and stop staring at Natalia :)

Third, we have to get the ball much thicker and heavier.  This would really put muscles to good use.

I think there is one thing that you must understand when you start sports betting is this. It’s got very little to do with how good you are at predicting individual events. You’re going head to head with the bookmaker. So start right now to use services proper sports betting website. You’re going to war with them, so you better be prepared.

People will bet on anything, while there is a chance to win even so minimal. There was a gambling practice to flip a coin, who guess the side takes the coin LOL

Betting on Ping Pong is very profitable. There are only two players and always the one that is Chinese is stronger. Also betting on regular tennis is real, and very profitable. Wimbledon championships are easy to predict are usually the odds are very high, so if you are experienced in betting you can make some good money during the championship period. I usually use a website that has a lot of predictions for different sports. I like that the computer analyzes all the matches and the data and after that chooses the team that has the biggest probability to win.

Hm.. With the pandemic going on, I understand that it’s almost impossible to go to casinos (I mean you always can if you have a deathwish). Which is why I have switched to online casino. Ngl .at first I couldn’t get use to this (like imagine you have to click the mouse to bet on something and you can’t feel or touch the money you know). But after a few days I got used to MGM99 and now I am very much into it! Ever heard about it? It’s cool actually. There’s almost no to very little limit about how much you can waggle. So it is entirely possible for you to put much money in as a kind of investment. A friend recommended this to me, and ngl at first I was like what the hell is this? But once I tried it out, I was completely won over hehe
