Grand Smash = WTTC = Olympics

   I noticed an article in the news feed about the grand smashes now bringing as many ranking points as WTTC and Olympic singles. It is quite the revolution and I am happy about it, things are moving toward a very dynamic and professional adventure. Tennis is the model and we might end up with a couple hundred people doing good and the rest dreaming and coaching here and there to meet months ends. We'll certainly end up with something that's better than what we have today.

We observe the prudential approach by leaving the WTTC singles alone so we keep getting the records and history. I really hope the next WTTC singles is be a feast to prove the decision right, I was afraid they'd get rid of a big piece of tt identity or should we say ttidentt aha.

The players' calendar will be as busy as it gets, those grand smashes were the missing link with a bright future and it's happening at last! Now we'll get more coverage on TV.
