how does he define rituals? Isn’t doing a certain routine before matches also a ritual? He does a few push ups beforehand every match. I’d consider that a ritual.

I did not understand this post topic , not because of language but lot of times it is not the language translation but it is the cultural translation that confuses anyone. For example, something that is normal in one culture may be offensive in another culture.
