It is the 1st time I noticed this. Not sure what is going on over there. Take a look at Liang's racket!

He's been doing this for almost a year now. I'm still surprised DHS doesn't make him custom blue sponge red H3.

Black H3 topsheet I is softer than red, and the blue sponge suits backhand too, not just forehand. I tried 38deg Big dipper on backhand and it's darn good.

I'm not sure if this is true, but one believable reason I've heard for the lack of red H3 with blue sponges is that the blue color bleeds through the topsheet. If you've used red H3, you probably have noticed that it's a bit translucent. The blue color of the sponge can apparently show through the topsheet, making it no longer appear totally red. This was illegal since rubber had to be red and black. I vaguely recall some news that rubber can now be colors other than red and black (though one black side is still required), which could make it legal to use red H3 on a blue sponge.

I am interested to know what he put on FH and why not use the same h3 as rest of the team?

As far as I know 43 deg H3 orange is on his forehand. Liang Jingkun has stronger backhand than forehand, I guess he benefits more on backhand.

@Chairman Meow, yes, I can imagine that being an issue. But for all I know DHS could color their blue sponge as oragne too and LJK could use that... One never truly knows with Chinese players.

Did you meet him in the tournament? How do you know what he is plying with, even hardness ?

Blue sponge H3 produces some ridiculous spin to speed ratio balls, but you need some serious power behind the BH to even consider it since it's slow af...
