Hello table tennis lovers! Smile

It took a while (because of the pandemic), but a full national table tennis season has (finally) been played in the Netherlands, so... I have a new video for you! Another compilation of a 2nd division match, only two levels below the highest level (Eredivisie).

Players Verweij (rank: 36) and Verhulst (rank: 47) belong to the top 50 in the Netherlands.

Check out the points and leave a message, comments are appreciated! Wink

Wow! I am very impressed with all of the older guys that are still playing athletic table tennis.  They have not resorted to long pips/anti or even adopted more of a Desmond Douglas/Georg Bohm block and loop style, not that there is anything wrong with any of those.  With the athletic and more explosive movement demands of the plastic ball and these guys looking like they are a few kilos above their prime weight, nothing but respect.  In their younger days, I picture them using an ALL+/OFF- blade with Coppa or Mendo speed glued to the gills.  Nowadays, for their health, I hope they are using fast carbon blades with Rakza Z Extra Hard or Rasanter R50 with a couple of layers of booster.

Verweij and Verhulst played at the highest Dutch level in the past (both in 2014). With all their experience, they still barely lose matches (at a slightly lower level nowadays). Not bad for those 'oldies', right? LOL
