3 fingers flat on the bh rubber instead of arched Ma Lin/Xu Xin style. It deserves a handle of its own, it always looked sustainable to me, like a truer extension of the hand.

To me, it's still a penhold grip. It's not unique, but if she gets into the WR then we can call it a Ojio-penhold

I play against penholders a lot and I've never seen the angles being used like how Ojio does here - it really looks incredibly unique! Somehow it's different but I can't really pinpoint the real differences. Also is she using a uniquely shaped blade?

Not new, I saw a french junior of Nat team playing this way at least 15 years ago. |
