Anyone have any info on how quickly Rasanter loses its initial "boost". Player at club switched to it from Chinese and was crushing his loops. About 1.5 weeks later he said it felt dead.
I suggested trying regluing. He used water based glue and no booster initially. Thnks for any info. Mark |

Rasanter (there are a lot of variants) do not lose their "pop" quickly. I have never boosted a sheet and would expect it is play very well for at least 3 to 6 months. I have no idea why it seemed dead in less than 2 weeks. Unless he is playing 10 hours a day...
I have used sheets for over a year and they played fine. I probably don't hit nearly as hard tho.

Which Rasanter? Some of the newer variants are using a new sponge which should make it last longer but I'm not sure.

Looks like it was a bad glue job. He reglued it and now says it is a lot better. It was a sealed blade. With water based glue sometimes the bond is not that good on a sealed blade. He used some steel wool lightly on the blade before regluing this time. I think that may have helped.
Thnks for the info. Mark

I'm using Rasanter R42 for 6 Month both sides and it's time to replace, but I can say it's a very good rubber and it last a lot. I'm training twice a week and played 76 game this season in competition.

My experience with Rasanters are following. R47, V47, V42: I have played through about 40 sheets of these rubbers and the performance of these rubbers didn’t change a lot other then normal wear out. R48 C48: I have played through 4 pair and with these newer rubber the drop of performance is really clear after 3-4 weeks. I think that newer sponges reacts a lot to booster and when factory boost wears of these rubbers change quite a bit. They are still really good rubbers after factoryboosting wears of but they looses ”the umpf” just like MX-P does.

What is the point of playing safe shots when you can miss with style

I had a sheet of R45 in 2.0mm, but I thought it felt very dead to me. There wasn't a lot of rebound from the rubber. A lot of times I felt my backhands would fall into the net. Also on opening loops, a lot of times my balls would fall very short. I would need a more exaggerated upward motion to clear the net.
I tried boosting it with seamoon, but there wasn't really much effect.

I'm using R48 and R45. It's been about a month and it still feels fine. I play about 13 hrs a week.
Hope it lasts for a couple months at least.
