    Posted: 05/12/2023 at 6:38am
Hi All,

I have recently switched to Tibhard Hybrid K3 rubber (max, no booster) on the forehand and really enjoy the rubber while it's new. But it seems that durability is really a problem since in ~3-4 weeks rubber loses quality quite drastically. It is still playable, but when I change to the new one the difference is noticeable that much that it seems that I need to adjust again. I play quite a lot (10-12 hours a week) with drills as well as competition, but still I would expect a bit more durability.

Are there any good hybrid alternatives from other brands which are similar, but more durable?

I think all ESN rubbers tend to die quickly.

You can get Chinese hybrid rubbers that last much longer.

I would recommend trying out Donic Bluestar A1
Butterfly Viscaria FL
FH - Undecided
BH - Undecided

Yinhe Jupiter 3, Big Dipper, and 729 Bloom Power are very good hybrids, and reasonably similar to K3/D09c

The Hybrid I currently use which is a bit slower and stickier is the Golden Tango.  Like a more reliable Big Dipper.  Doesn't die that quickly either because it isn't overly fast to begin with.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...
Cybershape Carbon
FH/BH: H3P 41D.

I just get a Friendship Battle II National with 40° sponge, and will boost it to the limit.
I bet it will be better than any hybrid.

Yes.  It is a bit bouncier, so I don't like it as much.  But it is a good rubber as well.

I am planning to try Jupiter 3 Asia. Have read good things about it and it is also quite cheap.

Thanks for all suggestions!
I have decided to give boosted Dignics 09c a try - even though I tend to stay away from butterfly due to ridiculous prices…

If you want to boost I believe it's a better alternative H3.

The only real solution to not liking rubber that loses its boost is to not boost rubber. I am using yasaka rakza X and it seems to last forever and is not boosted. On the right blade razka Z does the same (my blade is a little too slow for it, or I would use it).
