Grea! Thanks for the reply. I glue a lot of rubbers for ppl as well, so some good quality glue that can be purchased in bulk is always good.

This is what I bought. It's way cheaper and less toxic (except for the ammonia) than standard TT glue. I glued on two rubbers yesterday. I wasn't sure which technique to use as there are no instructions, and this is not made for TT, so . . .

1. Contact gluing whereby glue is applied to both sides, and affixed once dry
2. Affix wet and keep compressed until dry

I used technique #2, but I'm hopeful to use #1 as I believe it's better if lined up perfectly.

So far, so good, but I'll report back . . .

The Creature Liquid Latex worked great on the first two rubbers . . . strong adhesion. I will have to wait and see how the rubbers pull off later.

Tommyzai: $10.99 for 16oz -->     68 cents per oz
Dual700: $8.39 for     6oz -->  140 cents per oz

Tommyzai is twice cheaper. However apparently we can add ammonia to Dual700's solution so that maybe fills the gap, assuming Tommyzai's is not any thicker afterwards.

Nothing beats Chemical Vulcanizing Fluid, especially the one you get for repairing Car/4-wheeler tires.

I think Crazy Glue or Super Glue is the way to go. That will force you to commit to a set-up. It will be like a pre-made Sportscraft from Walmart or those hard plastic Killer Spin rackets.

Hi Yogi Bear, is lighter fluid the best for thinning Elmer's Rubber Cement ? I am using Herin (at lease that is the local name for diluting Aica Aibon glue), but I think it is not the best thinning agent.

It is the cheapest available solvent in my place. I am sure there are other things you can use.

Correction . . . The Creature Liquid Latex is VERY strong after it cures a week or so. I like it, but user BEWARE . . . blade sealing is not optional . . . it's a must or bust.

I abandoned Creature Liquid Latex and switched back to Tear Mender. Even with my patented, world-famous sealing job, the Liquid Latex pulled a couple small slivers of top fiber off the blade. It's crazy strong . . . would be perfect for assembling permanently!! ;-)

PS. Toxic alternatives are not an option . . . no lighter fluid, no solvents, NO VOCs. ;-)

I just used one of the three bottles (sale and to offset shipping cost) of the Demco glue I purchased near the end of Oct 2020 on the recommendation in this thread and I am disappointed. The bottles with the date 2020/10 which I assume is the manufacturing date, looks squeezed even though they are sealed, which tells me something, probably the ammonia, had evaporated through either the plastic bottle or the seal. It does not smell as strong with ammonia compared to Copydex and the first application of the glue curdled while I was still spreading it. Second application after cleaning out the first layer was better but was still very touchy.

I do not recommend the glue as I believe ammonia evaporation has happened due to the material they are using in the bottle.

Sorry to hear.
I have used it for 11 years and it's over 5 gallons over 4 clubs..
It is the same as paddle palace and revolutuon3 glue.
