I played badminton at the same time when I was a junior in TT. I my opionion a better sport than TT.

i played badminton in HS and College, was on varsity teams too! But now I got fat, so I've been stuck with just tt

I've played tennis, racquetball, badminton, squash, and table tennis at some competitive level. I was High School varsity tennis player (probably still a 4.0 player now). I played some squash in college, and I made it to finals in tournaments there. I just dabbled in badminton along with my wife, who played in HS and college, but I can move well but my skills are not so great.
I like TT the best of all. Probably second best is squash IMO. P.S. I actually played on chess team in HS, and was #1 player. Also was my HS chess champion both junior and senior year (class of over 700 people). But hardly ever play anymore, so not so good now.

i know for a fact here in Ontario we've lost a lot of mini cadet/cadets to Badminton...there are more badminton clubs (fulltime) here in the GTA but what draws them is there are more league play for all levels where the TT Clubs fail in that aspect.
we have lots of tournaments at provincial level but club tournaments are not planned for these entry/intermediate levels imho. the atmosphere in TT clubs vs Badminton clubs are also very different which also make it either sociable or cold.

 . But I gave up badminton because I had more experience in TT and had to chose one in order to concentrate on it.Edited by tom - 01/09/2020 at 3:03pm |
