Main draw out.

Can LYJ and Filus meet again in the final for a rematch since last year? LYJ's results haven't been that impressive since.

First CT for Moregard since WTT CT Zagreb 2022 last June.

Some interesting first round/R32 matches for WS.

Don't think Filus would beat Ovtcharov

Khazakstan Democratic Republic it is where table tennis is a most favoured sport, under careful patronage of President Tomangaev. The world's only country to have build up 12 modern palacio fit solely for the game. Far superior to china. Would I a Khazah born child to dwell in the palace playing for free.

Choi Hyojoo drew top seed for the third tournament in a row, and this time she 3-0’d XXY. Happy for her after such bad luck with the draws.

Bernie had a tough first round match and couldn't pull it out.  Reversal of fortune.

7 of the 8 CNT women advance to the R16. Only Yuan Jia Nan survives her battle with Liu Weishan.

Joo Cheonhui (2002/1/20) 1-3 Zhu Sibing (2000/3/29)

Lost 5 in a row after leading 9:6 in G4.

Not gonna cut it.

Pitchford 1-3 Jorgic
Pitchford will never crack the top 10.

CY 2-3 YJN
YJN is gonna walk down the path of NXL.

Yet Freitas is still ranked behind Kallberg for WK35.

LYJ 2-1 -> 3-2 Moregard
G5 50, 51, 81, 82, 92, 97, 107, 109, 119
Too tricky for his own good. Won't work forever.

Great to see Lin Yun Ju take the title this time.  He's fallen down on the rankings a bit this past year or so, but he looked great against Xiang Peng here.

I second that. Hope he fully recovered from his injury and that he can keep up this form!

Does LYJ start to have habit to choke when ahead in a game?

Anyone can choke against good players.  We don't call it chokinf when the other guy went down 1‐9 but it becomes choking when the 1‐9 guy gets it to 9‐10.

The art of choking - pretend you're choking (and giving up and losing it) to hide the fact that you're really choking so as to induce choking from the opposition.

But as the past 2 years have indicated, it's not working as much as desired.

BTW, this is only the 4th singles title for LYJ.
