Good high pressure tests for HH and Kihara.  And of course, who better to play HY than Mima Ito.

The Romanians need new blood
other than that, there isn't too many Euro (of non Chinese import) that is really knocking on the door.

Its actually so crazy, just the other day, they are still kids (HH, MI, Kihara etc), and now they a lot tall (other than Ito) and older....when one of our 16 year old asked, how old am I, the other day.... I had to count... time flies

Regardless of what German forum users say, Nina is putting up one heck of a fight.

Thankfully, Mittelham didn't win. I bet a certain someone would have a hard time giving credit to her.

This one for future reference in case someone accuses yours truly again.

Nina Mittelham will then make the decisive game. I hope that she will then show the necessary fighting spirit and motivation in this game. If she falters in the game again, as others have complained, then she should resign from the national team or be kicked out.

Also, WHAT ON EARTH is Germany thinking sending Han Ying against Ito. Put her in position 3 for goodness sake.

If I'm not mistaken, the teams don't know who their opponents will put into ABC (or XYZ) when they submit their lineup for XYZ (or ABC). They could make an educated guess but it could turn out that the opponent decided to do something different instead.

HY seemed to be Germany's strongest player just based on results in this tournament, so it seemed that she should play twice. In the Y position, she would do that at the earliest opportunity if Germany had won any of the first 3.
If she were put into the Z position, she would play just once. Would Shan (or anyone else on Germany's roster) have done much better than Han in the Y position, against Ito and then Hayata (assuming Japan kept their lineup for ABC the same)? Or would it have be significantly better to put Shan in X (to face Hayata 1st and Ito 5th) and Mittelham in Y (to face Ito 2nd and Hayata 4th)? I would say probably not, for either case.
Looking at head-to-head results on https://results.ittf.link/index.php?option=com_fabrik&view=list&listid=87&Itemid=240 , Han does have a win over Ito, though from 6 years ago. Neither Shan nor Mittelham have a win over Ito or Hayata, at least listed on that page.

are you saying you never made statements after the results of one match / tournament, praise or otherwise?  I could even go on about this particular match but we will leave it for now.

It's not the original photo spam that's the problem.  It's the multiple replies, each including the same photo spam, that makes navigation a pain.

It’s ridiculous to see so many people trying to prove “I am right”. I guess 99% of the members here don’t give a cent to the whatever hot argument here.

Again, refer to what I told you back at Austrian Open 2017. Do you seriously want a dead WTTC 2022 thread like the one on TTD where no one gives a shit?

There was no choking by either player.  From what I saw, it all boiled down to WCQ's opening attack.  KK will murder any opening loop that's not strong or deep enough.  And KK's own opening attack was quite good especially the 1st 2 games.  WCQ got progressively better at gauging how strong his opening needed to be in order to not get a crushing counter.  Good match from both players, and I look forward to seeing how both of them progress.

I am just catching up on the China-Sweden match, which is very interesting. I think someone else mentioned it, but why are there suddenly fans? I thought this was being played in a bubble?
