    Posted: 03/06/2014 at 5:07pm
Established Club in Northern California is accepting applications for a full time coach / sparring partner. Compensation is 24-36K depending on level and experience. Your title will be developmental coach and you will report to the head coach who will oversee the curriculum and assign your duties. You must be a team player who can work together with the other coaching staff and be passionate about developing young players. You should play at a high enough level to stretch our current juniors who are 2400 +.

The ideal candidate plays at a level of 2500 or higher, has coaching experience, and speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

You must be able to document your playing and coaching history. Match video is helpful.

For more information send your resume to [email protected].

full time for 24-36K not enough to pay  rent around here  and has to speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, seems a reach.

I am not sure if this offer is real. Better do not send personal info there. That member posted the same words but with double more higher price some months ago, I checked. If you really want to have interest probably it is normal some more details to be posted - name/number of the manager in the club or link to the club.

So - that kind of post must be deleted, I think? We don't know the real intention of the post owner, for what he is hidden and even didn't answer my request for details? And also after offered 60 k. usd per year now he is offering 24k-35k for the same.
Could someone post what kind of expenses has just one person in CA? Room in house, transport, food, taxes, duties and oth.?
There is too long time between his two posts and this is all from this member.

I'm not taking that into account. I'm considering:

1) the lack of communication
2) the drastic difference in money offered compared to the previous posting
3) the lack of information about which club it is
3) the request for PII (personally identifiable information)
4) a google search of that email address which only yields results of identical postings in other forums (and no hits for contact pages on club websites)

The offer could be legit. But, the totality of the circumstances gives a reasonable suspicion that it could be an unsafe solicitation.

The mods could easily check the ip address of the poster to see if it matches a regular poster on here. If it does they could give a warning

Pondus - I really can not understand the value of your question here. Everyone can offer what he thinks and wants according his possibilities, the question here is not only the reason for the twice more lower salary offer , but also and the lack of information as the_theologian said. Please read his post once again. The last forum member made nice offer to the mods. I hope this will be accepted. Take care and do not send any personal details to this member.
It is very possible just to make joke with the members here or just to see who will give him his details for free...
That kind of offers must be deleted at the moment, it is my personal view. Someone with unknown mail and reputation here in the forum asked for personal details and there is no any person, site, name or address posted as responsible for the asked info. It is your choice.

Everything is OK, I received message from the topic owner.
They need chinese speaking coach and advanced player who will help the head coach (arranged in the 1st offer). There are mainly chinese players in the club, this is everything.
May be more details next time will be useful.

First post was for a head coach. This post is for a developmental coach. Hence, the difference in salary.

No follow-up post from the original poster, norcalttclub.

After 16 posts, some even questioned the OP, yet he did not respond.

A bit strange to me.

No, I can't because I didn't receive that info. This is the main point I asked but I didn't receive clear answer about the name of the club. The topic owner probably thinks it is not so important, I don't know. If you need more details - you can ask your questions via mail. I just received that chinese coach had left the club and they need someone to replace him with chinese language, but still have enough candidates.

==========================================

Eye opening find from Google search: (Apt rental in San Francisco Bay Area.)
1 bed room Apt, $2500 to $3000 per month.
2 bed room Apt, around $4000 per month.

They are typical rental costs, of course you will have rental costs above or below the numbers given.

*** 4 time more expensive than Charlotte, NC. ***

The original poster put up a post and left, no follow-up post of any kind.
