I didn't expect China would send Wang Hao again, he didn't play that well last few weeks.
Maybe next year they will send Qiu who comes up well.
All over all, new favorite is Zhang Jike I think.
Also nice to see is that Ovtcharov will play!!

Nice list - I hope everyone will come to play, no injuries etc. My prediction is that Zhang Jike will win. And the runner-up will not be Timo... I am not sure who that will be as we do not know the exact groups and seeding.

I go with Zhang Jike as the winner.
But I think that Boll will up his level so that he can pull off a good performance!

Agreed, zhang is the form player this year. I don't see anyone but ma long challenging him.

Boll's playing too many matches lately. He won't be in good condition.

I agree... he looks so tired that it's ridiculous. He should rest more and do closed training, and maybe spice up his game a bit... so that he can surprise the Chinese once in a while.

Any chance of recording something from Eurosport HD? :)
And I agree with you guys, Boll has been looking really tired lately, he should get some rest!

oh my goodness, chuang is actually leading zhang jike now! Very solid rally skills, but i don't think he'll overcome Zhang Jike...especially if it starts to drag longer.

wow! chuang beat zhang jike... couldn't believe how many errors zhang jike made... zhang jike was overly reliant on his BH which was rather erratic today, should have tried his FH more.

It is pretty disappointing from Zhang, doesn't he know it is very precious to play the world cup? He looks too casual.

Zhang seemd disoriented at the end (from the disappointment?), he even forgot to shake hands with his opponent.

Two players from each group advance. Zhang can still reach the quarterfinals, even win his group.
