Hello everyone, This is my first time using this forum, I hope I am not posting in the wrong place! My friend and I started experimenting with building table tennis paddles and found we can make decent paddles, and even some similar to very expensive ones on the market (like the super alc and zlc paddles). We can make them standard-size, oversized, or cybershape-like, and with different materials for the handle. If you want to choose your own plies and handle material to make a custom blade, we can do that. We have a list of materials and their prices on our website and if the material you want is not there, please let us know and we can possibly find it for you. Our website is here: http://sites.google.com/view/luckydogcustomblades/home I apologize the website is unfinished. If you would like to buy a paddle you can see the options for materials on the custom order tab, and use the contact page to let us know. I would also like to find some people, preferably 2000+ in elo rating, who are willing to test and give detailed reviews and feedback for some of our paddles. Below are the paddles we have available for testing, if you are interested please send me a message. It will be best if you are in the USA, we are located in Georgia, USA. 1. A super ALC similar to the super Viscaria 2. A stiga cybershape-like paddle with super ALC 3. A cybershape-shaped paddle with super ZLC and limba on one side and super ALC and koto on the other 4. An oversized blade with super ZLC and limba on one side and super ALC and koto on the other 5. An inner super ZLC blade 6. Hybrid blade with balsa on one side and super ALC on the other, for blocking with long pips on the backhand and attacking on the forehand side. Please let me know if you have questions about our paddles, suggestions, and/or you want to test any of our paddles. Thank you! -Ben |

Just bumping this as I have one of their blades.
Blade Specs- Starting with blade shape. I asked for a facsimile of the cybershape which is option 3 in the OP. I use the the SZLC side for my FH so blade layers start from FH outer layer to BH outer layer- Limba SZLC Limba Kiri Limba SALC Koto 6.2mm thickness I did not weigh the blade prior to putting rubber on it so I only have the mass of the whole setup. I prefer a slightly heavier setup with a head heavy swing mass. Total setup mass is 198 grams. Current rubbers are FH- Nittaku H3 T BS / BH- Donic BlueGrip R1 both in max thickness. My normal BH rubber is Nittaku H3 T OS which has a heavier cut mass which would then put my normal playing mass @ approx 200g. |

Would love to try #1 out. I am not a 2000+ from a rating perspective yet (lack of consistency) but have taken down quite a few 2000-2100+ players in my time here. Let me know how the testing would work.

Great guys with thoughtful designs that are well produced. Have sampled some with no issues, but haven’t gotten off using plain-Jane Timo Boll ALC yet. Asking them to make me 7 ply wood cyber-shape soon.

I played with anubhav1984 last week and he handed me the Super ALC clone made by LuckyDogBlades. I couldn't test it much as we played doubles exclusively but the couple games I played with it made me think it could easily be my main blade. The skull sound is extremely clear and long, it resonates warmly which I always appreciate much and that characteristic is rare even with the famous companies. Whether it is the glue he uses or the building process, he's got something really right there. While playing, the woody feel is excellent and quite surprising, we could not guess in a blind test that it is a composite blade with Super ALC like plies even though the OFF speed rating gives it up on such a rather thin blade.
I recommend a thorough test on that blade, it is worth the time to explore. I am not sure when is the next time I will be able to test it as I have many in the pipeline waiting and it would be a shame to let that blade on a shelf for too long. I am ready to ship it to an approved USA based tester, let me know via PM or/and here and I'll drop it at USPS. Thanks to anubhav1984 and LuckyDogBlades for the opportunity to briefly test it.
