Downloaded Per Gerell vs Seiya Kishikawa - will upload to MU shortly. First impression - horrible angle. Yes is too high AND (as a consequence) totally from the back of the one player ----But now I'm watching the live, and is really nice to see it -also has wide geometry=16x9. I'm wondering, if could anyone record some important/critical matches directly from live and then upload the results for the others? This will be a great contribution to tt-videos/section of our forum. |

yeah, they showed zhang blowing out little ueda jin on the adjacent table (table 1). the boll-chen match started just after the zhang-ueda match. i was hoping they would turn the camera over to table 2, but they didn't. |

i happened to be checking the french SPORT + channel schedule and apparently they will be showing selected matches from the GERMAN OPEN on APRIL 2nd at 11:30 am CET (5:30 am ET) and APRIL 4TH at 8 am CET (2 am ET). both shows are 105 mins. long. i'm not a 100% sure, but i think you have to go here to see it: http://www.fftt.com/communication/sport+/sport+.htm - http://www.fftt.com/communication/sport+/sport+.htm hopefully, they'll show the timo-chen qi match... |

This sucks. It is amazing that such stupid preferences take priority. It was a QF played by the best German player and the crowd favorite at German Open (!) against an opponent of the same caliber - a match absolutely certain to be a very interesting encounter. That's true but on the other hand at the same time Dima was playing against Ma Long on Table 1 which could be very interesting as well(but wasn't).The thing is that the best solution is just prepare schedule that all men's quarterfinal matches are played on Table 1 as it took place in Qatar: http://www.ittf.com/Protour_new/pdf/2010QAT/TVScheduleQAT.pdf - http://www.ittf.com/Protour_new/pdf/2010QAT/TVScheduleQAT.pdf For me usually quarterfinal games are most interesting cuz there is not much pressure and players are relaxed so they play incredible rallies. yeah, i don't understand it either. i wish i knew how (and when) it's decided where the cameras will go and on what tables the players will play on. cuz this was the GERMAN open and timo is the top german and top european and he was facing one of the chinese top-8--a guy he has a losing record to, a guy on a team he has a losing record to. how was that not worthy of being filmed?? don't get me wrong--i like to watch zhang jike, but this time he was beating up on some little japanese kid and zhang was clearly just playing around with him, cuz he was so bad. anyhow, why weren't the cameras on timo's match?? and why wasn't that match on TABLE ONE??? |
