I think of the photos as a sequence and don't pay too much attention to them individually.
I see it as a progression from the previous picture though I had no specific reason for putting it up.
When I make the webpage I just type the last few numbers of the picture and generally don't preview it as a picture. For me, it's easier to leave them all in than it is to leave a few out.
