Hi guys,

Did any of you start playing with one hand and then changed to the other i.e right to left or vice versa? May be there are some players who can play with both hands. Wacko

A friend of mine is left-handed, sometimes he uses his right hand to hit a stroke with his forehand instead of hitting a stroke with his backhand...

I deffinaetly can't and I odn't think I've ever even tried to play left handed.  ... lol  When I play at school today I'm going to try it.    I've seen a couple of the pros  "can't remember names" switch hands before when on defense.

i am left handed when i write, hold cup,snooker/pool,right handed table tennis, throwing, when i got tennis elbow i had to rest my right arm for the summer but adapted enough with my left to play to a reasonable standard, this has helped me now  when someone is pinning me down with fast serve wide to b/hand i can now switch to left hand and make a f/hand topspin instead of defensive shot

I can play with both hands, can serve with both hands, can hit moderate smashes with my left hand, but my backhand with my left is weak, so far.

I have won matches with my left hand as well, and I  usually play right handed.

I've seen Li Ching switch hands during a match to smash when he was out of position, but he hit it into the net.

When he switched to left shakehand grip during a match, he never got any point. But every time it was close to get the ball on the table. one example was against Keen in 2005 world championship.

I saw a guy at the local club play with both hands as if he were doing a back hand regular tennis style.  He even yelled every time Monica Selles of table tennis. haha
