I chose this blade because it has Conic handle. I just want to try Conic handle again after so long (last was in the early 80s).  At first, I did not particularly like the blade.  For me, it is “rather stiff” for an allround blade (compared to usual Allround blades).   Allround blade, being soft and slow, needs some flexibility to give extra speed (and extra kick in spin) due to the catapult effect.  Allround NCT is a bit flexible, but only in high speed stroke (big swing).  Otherwise it is pretty firm, thus good for blocking and hitting.  So when testing the blade, I was not so thrilled about it.

But later on, as I keep using it for few sessions, I really appreciate this blade.  It is very allround, in the sense that it can do basically everything (not including chopping, as it is not my style).  I can smash really well (compared to other allround blades) but it still can loop well.  The extra kick, due to catapult effect, is present when performing hard shots.  So it turns out that Allround NCT serves me well.  I am now using it for my serious games and it is still allright.

As I mentioned in other thread, it is usually a compromise between:  (a) getting a good looping blade but not too good for blocking or  (b) getting a good blocking blade but not too good for looping.   At last I find a blade that can do everything quite well.   I am really satisfied with its performance.

Speed:  ALL+  to OFF- (depends on your rubbers)
Looping:  Good
Blocking:  Good
Short game:  Excellent
Serving:  Excellent

I think the extensive review given by Iggstern is pretty much accurate.  Please check this site:

Hi doraemon,
I am thinking of putting a Genius Sound (FH 2mm) and an Aurus Sound (BH max) on my Stiga Allround Wood NCT blade.
Do u think it is a good setup for an allround attacker?
Or it would be better to place these rubbers on my TBS or leave them on my Joola Viva?

I want a setup which is not fast as lightning (around off- is enough) and has exceptional control.

I can't say anything because I have not tried Genius nor Aurus.  However, I use soft sponge rubber and medium hard sponge rubber on Allround NCT and they are OK..   They are not tensors though, ordinary classic rubbers.

Ha ha ha..... of course.  If you like Yasaka Extra 3D (very flexible, thus has great catapult effect), then you will absolutely hate this blade (firm and little catapult effect if you swing hard)..

yes Allround NCT has no flex whatsover, so it's really good for training up your muscles as you need to hit really really stupidly hard with good form all the time. Dead

Most of my clubmates, when they use my setup can't even reach the net! LOL

Nice. I have this blade. I gave it to my son. It has very good control and also good for smashing. For looping I guess you need soft rubbers. I might try Sabine Winter's setup with Calibra LT Sound. Right now my son uses Genius and he loves it.

do not agree. the best ever is the old stiga all (particularly the conic johansson).

the stiga allw nct is so so.

that a pro uses it does not mean much. i know pros who do not pay attention to try blades. and everyblade can be good with training.
the allw nct + calibra is quite awful setup (mushy + mushy).

i also like the ye3d better than the allwnct.

Perhaps the target market for the Allround NCT is not the more experienced players who desire the utmost in spin and speed. About a year and a half ago I made a thread asking members here what equipment they might suggest to someone buying his first custom paddle. There were a range of suggestions, but several people agreed that the Stiga Allround NCT was a good ALL+ blade for a beginner. I chose to get the Allround NCT with Butterfly Flextra on both sides. I absolutely loved the setup and improved drastically with it. I switched my forehand rubber to Inspirit Quattro UL and have really enjoyed it as a small step up in spin and speed from Flextra. So while, admittedly I have not had the chance to test a wide variety of blades ( I have had the chance to play with a few) I have loved playing with this blade. Just to add some perspective to it, I am probably between 1400 and 1500, judging from my level of success against rated players.

Rokphish , yes , it is mine . I proudly present you my loved nct blade Big smile

Yeah , I applied two or three layers of lacquer as usual in order to prevent my blade from external humidity and sweat .

By the way , honestly , I am not a pro player and Sabine does not hold my blade in Her hand , I am talking about the other photo. LOL

the allround nct has tons of dwell time. softer than off classic. thicker.

yes it is a slow blade but it does not have much vibration. an off classic vibrates more or an old all.

this is why the old all feels better. it has more vibration feeling. and it has more crispness.

the all nct is soft slow feeling. mushy feeling.

can somebody else validate ejmaster's review? I don't recognize it as matching my impression of the blade. it is slow and less vibration. but to me it is not soft or mushy at all.

it is soft and mushy as hell.

the nct does not provide something noticeable to feel crispness.
i have it in legend handle.

at least you agree is slow and less vibration.

the best thing is that it is thicker and feels more stable than the present stiga allround classic.
