I've seen some early samples of green topsheet, that was a complete flop compared to red / black of another brand (inverted) Quality control does play some role in color dye. I guess its just like a hairdresser dye skills, its not just some home diy that you can get the perfect mixture first time and with anything in production, you end result might not always be 100% the same. If it is a simple process, and inventory/stocking keeping/pricing is not a concern, why we have only a dozen of rubbers with colour today.... there is 1607 models of rubbers on the LARC list today |

Both pushblockers (rated about 1975 and 1750) normally using Red OX, who each tried Green OX for awhile. I don't remember what they said regarding not liking it (probably something generic regarding control and/or preceived ball quality / effectiveness, which doesn't speak to any specifics behind it). I agree that these style players likely wouldn't like Black either (generally grippier and softer for LP). Donn - No, I wasn't saying that.
