i have heard some histories of brazileans( mr almeidA) claiming that walnder dumped his final to persson, claiming is better to have 2 world champions than one bi champion.....then why wang won over ma lin in 2005 wttc??, i guess mr almeida must have deep conections in the chinese goverment to know this facts about dumping matches or he cant stand the fact that waldner could win in osaka? only a disturbed mind would believe an european player would give away his medal. btw i told this theory to nisse sandberg( former appelgren coach) and he broke in laughter..only rational dumping theories are pre nineties chn finals |

lol, totaly agree with you. JO didn't intetionaly lose. But, it might have looked like he did, cause he played a very weird game. He used his Bh shot frequently, despite the fact that most of his shots went long or into the net.
The reason for this is, that in a previous meeting between JO and Persson, JO managed to destroy Persson's gameplan by exellent use of Bh. So, he tried it in the finals to put preassure on Persson, but failed. Also, if dumping did occur, I think it would be more logical to ask Persson to dump the match, due to JO's tremendous status... |
