I know somebody who refused a $500 offer. When he told me I asked $600 and he smiled and "naaahhh". It's just so rare it will only appreciate with time because of crazy -ahem- I mean passionate collectors.

Yes, It's rare, but not that rare.  If you offer at the right price, you will see lots of people will giving up their blade for you.

Lets just say at this value of $650USD - $700USD, I can pick one up locally anytime.

I'm not a collector, I intend to play with it if I buy one.

No kidding....well....I could get 1 @ my desired weight ordered for me, if I really really want/ask, for 300.00 Cdn taxes included...or my Chinese buddy here could get 1 for me from Mainland China this summer when he n his family go back for Vacation.

no difference between the red label and blue label except for the color of the ink on the silk screen.

yes, actually quite alot of people have the red label kts as compared to ryu seung min, but the prices in mainland is actually even higher...i guess you know? its at least 5-6k RMB for one now...still rising....

actually.....is the new one really the same as the old? why are there so many people looking for the old ones? hm should be discussed

Why is this blade so expensive ??? Just because it's rare ? Or it's made of special 1 ply hinoki ?
