I was wondering exactly that. It is not like a social security number after allWink.

I bought it from Butterflyonline.com. They got only 6 of them. 44 blades were made for USA only. I was a last second buyer.
I haven't tried it yet.

can someone describe me how the TB ALC is in terms of throw angle, speed AND SPIN??
I am now playing with a Primorac Carbon with 2 Tenergys 05 and wanted something more spinny and a blade with more dwell time and more control. Do you think the ALC will be the right answer? If not, I won't be dissapointed if you give me some suggestions :)
Blade: Timo Boll ALC 92 g.
Forehand: Tenergy 05 2.1 mm. (black)
Backhand: Tenergy 05 2.1 mm. (red).

Excuse me but I don't think the top veneer is of high quality.

This sort of unevenly space veneer looks the low grade stuff to me.

The feel may be different on different parts of the blade with veneer of different densities.

However, this is not important.

We just need the serial number and the print
"limited edition." for collection.

maybe you can show us where we can find "evenly spaced" koto layers? it is a feat already being able to see such straight veneers.

I have a nice koto A4 sample from

http://www.finewoodventech.com.au/

The grains are quite even.

Got 9 x A4 different types of veneer but need two per type to make a blade with same FH/BH.

Got also other samples from

http://www.amerind.com.au/?section=veneers

The koto sheets are also better but in A5 that I cannot use to make blades.

I like the Hoop Pine more and the English Willow is very nice.

They don't respond to my email and have to go there in person one day to check out.

I also bought some koto veneer from China and is better.

What I really think these sort of limited edition blades are just for collection or showoff, but not really for playing.

IT won't be nice if the blade is covered up with sponge.
Cannot see the limited edition and serial number.

Secondly, the value will reduce when damaged.
I guess there are very few people, if any, that did not hit the table with the blade.

Thirdly, Timo Boll, Zhang YiNing cpens, etc.
Do these players play cpen or help to develop, by testing, giving comments, and repeatedly refinement to make these cpen models?

We can see those really playable cpens like WangHao xxx, Malin xxx blades that are actually used by cpen players.

So, I guess these limited cpen editions are for collectors.
