Yes, the Dishang 2020 ITTF Men's World Cup Final. The points happened exactly in this lego version like in the original game.

For shots where the ball wasn't flying I used a ball made out of clay. The ball in action was made on the computer and I had to guess how to animate the characters, so it'll look right later.

Sounds interesting. So you added the ball not to every still picture with photoshop before adding the pictures to video editing software, but you first added all the pictures to video editing software and after that with the help of it (or some other software?) added the ball in the end?

Yes, on the Raw footage the players were playing with "invisible balls" and then with a software I animated the ball digitally.
