Aka looking towards one direction and putting the ball in the other direction. Do you do this?

I've been sort of experimenting with this receive to look cool LOL. So for eg when receiving a FH short serve with the FH, if you rotate your upper body anticlockwise and look towards the opponent's FH corner, the opponent will think that you're receiving diagonally to his FH. Then when you contact the ball, you let your wrist lag slightly so that it becomes a fade towards the deep BH corner instead. Same with the BH, you rotate your upper body clockwise - and then you will have options to either hook it to the deep BH or fade it to the deep FH with just a tiny change in the wrist angle. With the BH there's also a variation where you can rotate anticlockwise (same as FH) to open up angles to the extreme deep FH (as contrasted with the normal receive which goes diagonally)

The key is to use the body rotation for deception to increase the suddenness. If it's just using the arm the deceptive effect is much less pronounced, the backswings will look very different.

Found that it's much more effective against penholders who rely a lot on anticipation coz it adds an extra layer which they need to be careful about when unleashing their nasty FH powerloops. With balanced two wing shakehanders who play more from mid distance, it's much harder to fake them out in general coz they're used to just reacting to balls.
