Anyone know if the new series come in AN handles?

Also out of the 5 (ALC, ZLC, ZLF, Tamca and W7), which one has the best dwell time?

You already had the ALC, why don't you order the complete set? LOL
LOL, I probably will order a ZLC soon. But never the W7
You may be surprised. I know one pros (ranked above 2500) told me that W7 is the best for his liking. LOL
One complete set would be a nice collection though Wink

AHHH I seeee.
I ordered BTW

@speedy: Timo Boll T5000 has tamca carbon like Ishlion and Kreanga Carbon. Does this fact make it close to those blades?
The Kreanga Carbon has more feel than the Ishlion: would you consider the T5000 an evolution of the Kreanga Carbon idea?
is the Tamca Carbon in the T5000 thinner or thicker? with a denser or less dense wood?

dam, oops! what i was thinking is that tamca ULC carbon is different to Tamca carbon

Tamca 5000 is the kind of carbon used in most Butterfly blades for example my Gergley 21.

Supposedly Tamca ULC uniaxial light carbon has the same speed but with a better balance of hardness and ball touch.

As for the kreanga, I had one, sold it because 12 grams heavier than my ishlion.  The main difference I found or thought was that there is at least 10 grams of paint to soften the ball.

 But the biggest difference is:

The kreanga feels softer because you feel less.
The construction of it is in 2 parts, the head is glued to the handle. Similar also to my old Joola KOOL.  Very similar kind of lack of feeling

Where as the ishlion is feels hard because you feel everything in your hand.  It is all constructed from one length of composite.

slightly off topic, Don't BUY A KREANGA, unless the glue era returns.
The biggest problem my friend, the guy I sold it to, faces now is that the rubbers come off tooooo easily.

Yes, Tamca 5000 Carbon is different than Tamca ULC.

I should have finished the point speedy was asking about, the progression of the carbon.

I would say no. Since boll 5000 uses tamca 5000. ULC came next.

boll5000  is not a progression from the ULC technology.

First of all, T5000 is an upgrade of those blades.  I would say that Kreanga Carbon is a little bit faster, but the T5000 is better overall.  I don't have Kreanga Carbon and Ishlion with me right now, but I have to say it doesn't matter if the carbon is thicker or thinner.  What matter is ALL the elements come together right or not.

what do you mean upgrade?  Better? Faster?

t5000 is a type of technology, do you mean the boll t5000?

t5000 is old technology.  when I think upgrade I think newer.  Ulc is newer.

I understand what your saying about balance and how it all comes together.

And a slight off note, why the hell does butterfly name so many blades that timo would never ever use after him,  its just ridiculous.

You can look at the "upgrade" two different ways: technology or improvement.  This time is improvement of the T5000.

About naming the blades after Timo Boll?  Hummm... I agree with you there, they should come up with cool names than just Timo Boll... I have NO idea why they do that.  Anyone knows?

actually why don't we start a thread about creating funny names for butterfly blades? and then we'll vote in a poll about those.

@bozbrisvegas: will you start it? thanks.

nah, timo is a pretty humble guy. I bet this TIMO line was solely butterfly's idea...and if you were Timo would you decline?

It's marketing by butterfly. They will sell alot of these blades, everybody likes Timo.

Personally, I don't know Timo.  I like him as a player.  The reasons I bought Butterfly blades are very simple.  I like their quality and design.  That's it.

After sticking to my ishlion now for quite a few months, what will I think of my boll alc?

Too slow?
Easy to loop?
Easy to block?
Not enough finishing speed?

Ishlion is not much faster than ALC.  Yes, you will feel easier to loop.  You will have about the same power, but much more control.
