I've just received Violin Limited Edition from iruiru. weight it, indeed it's 95.2 gr.
The head size is bigger than normal Violin, but smaller than Vioncello. The head shape looks more egg shape. The handle is huge!!!! The biggest FL handle I've hold. It's almost 3 mm thicker than Violin L-sized I'll post the picture comparison later.... |

Follow these simple yet easy 7 steps:
1. Click on the "Reply" button on the top right of the previous post/thread.
2. Click on the 8th (Tree) icon from the left, on the top row.
3. Browse to locate your desired picture (Jpeg).
Note: Prior to posting, please remember to trim/reduce the image's size to say...50kb for ease of posting. (I use MicroSoft Office Pictures Manager to trim/clip off extra unnecessary perimeter of my picture and/or if needed use Window Paint to Stretch/Skew the image down to smaller size, 30% - 50% of original size?)
4. Upload.
5. Wait for the Image/Picture to show up in the "Preview" box/window on the right.
6. Click on "OK"
7. Click on "Post Reply" |

Made it ! However when I tried to edit it to add my comment I could not do it. So I have to make a separate post.
Thanks Tiehwen ! Peter, I am using imageshack, but when I copy the link for forum, the image did not come out as your pictures. |

Yes Tiehwen, I forgot to make some space. Getting old
Next time I will try it, thanks Peter. By the way, your new blade has the same emblem like mine ? There was no emblem at all on my Acoustic J-pen. |

Hard but non Chinese:
Andro Roxon 500 Pro, Stiga Calibra LT Plus which is a harder version of Calibra, Spin Art but you need a lot of power to perform it well, Yasaka Pryde, as long as the degree for tensor rubber is above 47.5 deg it's considered hard. |

Skip me out of the clan member list, please. My Tenor and my acoustic found new owners where I hope they will be played as they deserves. It was a shame seeing them taking dust while I was busy playing Madash, Oscar, Ludeack, Osp's, SuperCPen, Latika and many others...
I will maybe come back if I can find a good old 92gr 1st gen acoustic ST (anyone ?).

I have 2006 Acoustic ST 90 Gr which is not the first generation, it feels different with the current one.
It has better feel and more control. Violin meanwhile feels the same old or new generation depends on the weight. |

The feel is different hard rubber feels better, I switch from soft rubber to hard rubber, for me Hard rubber is more powerful, but less forgiving compared to soft rubber.

Congratulations Arg0! If you are going to buy a new blade again in the future, try Violin, and let me know what is your opinion.

I played with Violin the whole last season. It's a wonderfully balanced blade, with a very nice feel. The reason why I switched to Lissom is that I play Vega Pro on the forehand, and with that rubber on Violin and my technique, looping against backspin was rather difficult. I tried Vega Europe, and things improved. However, when I hit hard, the rubber bottoms out and balls get unpredictable. Lissom and Vega Pro is a perfect match for my game. However, I always wanted to try Acoustic as well so when I saw an Acoustic ST for sale on the forum, I couldn't resist. From a first impression, it is just as good as Lissom for looping, however it is more head-balanced, which I tend to dislike. In the next weeks I'll test it with XIOM Vega Pro/Europe rubbers. Next season I'll play one of those three blades (unless the BBC blade that I also still have in my cupboard turns out to work magic) and that will be the end of by blade EJ-ing.
