What are some backhand rubbers that are japanese or european (not chinese) and have good spin with good control? I do a lot of backhand serves and I want more spin on my backhand loops also, but have good control and not be tacky like a chinese rubber.

I like the Nittaku Nodias, spinny almost tacky topsheet and medium hard sponge. Very controllable and easy to generate spin with the topsheet. Supposed to be used by some top Chinese players on their backhands. It might be similar to Nittaku Waldner, but I haven't seen that one. -- Andrew |

JO Waldner is a geat sheet, lots of spin. Coppa is good also, less speed than JO, maybe a touch more control.
Sriver el and Nodias are good too. |

I wonder if ttman could confirm the chinese national team using the Nittaku Nodius. Sounds like a good rubber. So could it generate more spin on the serve than the sriver el, jo waldner, and coppa?

if u want spin use butterfly tackifire special soft kong used it against waldner in the 2000 olympics on both the sides if u are a player playing at the national level u will love the variations in spin produced

Well what blade you using then i might be able to tell you something. But if you dont speed glue then use DONIC Desto F1. It has a lot of spin for serves and speed as well nice for blocking.

wang liqin apparently uses nodias on backhand rumor has it, nodias is the same as jo waldner. Can someone confirm this? |

to be safe on blocking and ball placement use medium rubber on the BH.
Rubber like Donic Sonex XF45.

It is completely depend to your playing style But most people prefer to have more control on their backhand and hence they like soft rubbers on. So if you want control and spin I think yasaka mark v is good choice. Also sriver fx is very good backhand rubber with better fell than mark v but a little bit less spiny than mark v. I don�t suggest jo waldner if you want to have a good fell but if you don�t do loop with your backhand so much it is good for blocking and also push. |

Nittaku Nodias is not tacky and spinny at all. No power rubber but good in blocking.

Sriver FX, very good BH rubber. can be used by choppers, allround, spin and agressive attackers (1.5mm to max)
