But Peter, they are using modern "speed glue effect rubbers" that have the sound and spin of speedglue.

petermoo/icontek: It sure is funny when you get to hear the professional matches being played. Especially the european leagues when they are in smaller facilities, you can just HEAR how bloody tuned everyones rubber is. It's amazing how much pop some of these rubbers have. Especially the tenergies that you KNOW don't sound like that untuned no matter how you hit them.

Orenburg beated Hennebont. (3-1)

Hennebont played without Ryu, strange he doesn't always shows up for the important matches.

He won't play this season for Hennebont. They are waiting for Zhang Yang from China, their new player. Bai and Wang have French passport.

Baum continuing his good form winning again today against Gionis, nice to see he's able to change gears so soon facing attacking players and a defender.

Also lol at Suss destroying He Zhi Wen...

And Waldner vs Saive soon, would be nice if they showed that match...

Charleroi beat Fulda 3-1
Niederosterich beat Ochsenhausen 3-1
Borussia beat Angers 3-0

Werner Schlager was the hero for SVS by winning both his matches. (Kishikawa and Apolonia)
He beated Japanese with 11-9 in the fifth set. Apolonia was a bit easier.

Wang Jian Jun was the hero in Germany, he beated Robert Svensson 3-0 and Wang Xi (defender)
3-1. Also Charleroi needed Saive, who beated Waldner in Five sets.

almost sounds like the '93 Worlds semifinal.  waldner won the 1st set against saive, had an outrageous lead in the 2nd (something like 18-9) and lost.

UMMC vs. Levallois at 3 pm CET or 9 am ET tomorrow at laola1.tv

levallois = chuang chih-yuan, emmanuel lebesson, igor rubtsov and simon gauzy.

UMMC = ???  dunno who's on their team.  maze is s'posed to be on the team, but he's out due to surgery and chen qi and hao shuai are s'posed to be on the team, but the chinese are notorious for not showing up.  also, primorac is s'posed to be there, too, but i don't see his face in the team picture.  in fact i think the team pic on the ECL site is from last year.

edit:  ok, i found their website (kntummc.ru for those of you who can read russian) and it says that hao and chen are on the team as well as primo, maze (who's out), alexander shibaev, kim jung hoon, and belarus chopper evgeny chtchetinine and, also, the old former russian no. 1, dmitry mazunov.

No, Kim Jung Hoon and Robert Gardos played for UMMC in the previous seasons - they are not on the team anymore. Where did you see Chtchetinine? I couldn't find him on their website...

click the first link on the list, "O Klube" or "about [the] club."  they give the player/coach list.  they don't mention robert gardos, but they do say kim jung hoon, which they spell "kim chon khun" in cyrillic.

oddly enough, in the space between the time i checked the website earlier today and now, they have updated it and i don't see his pic in the "floating pix" animation that's there now.  maybe he's not on the team anymore...  who knows??

anyhow, they put up a new pix section that wasn't there earlier today entitled "Komanda Kluba" or "[the] club's team" and it says, primo, vlasov, shibaev, maze, chen and hao.

as for michael maze, i read an article the other day where he said he's looking at a possible comeback in january of next year.

also, it looks like chen and hao will not play tomorrow.  it'll be primo, vlasov and shibaev against chuang, lebesson and rubtsov.

that actually makes it close.  well, come to think of it, that swings it in the direction of levallois, depending on the matchups.

anyhow, i guess we'll see tomorrow...

also, i'm wondering about the correct time.  the UMMC site says 19:00 (11 am ET), but the laola site says 14:55 (8:55 am ET).  which is right??

I guess it is time difference. Russia has +3 time belt ;) And laola has CET

actually, it's a 2-hour difference between russian time and CET, so that's why it doesn't make sense.

but the event is in russia, so i can't believe they would make a mistake.

unfortunately, they're saying 7 pm and the ECL and laola sites are saying 3 pm CET.  well, i guess we'll find out soon enough...

It's gonna start soon, Primorac as playing with Chen Qi, so the chinese will play.
But why did UMMC bought 2 Chinese players?? only one o them can play in ECL.
And in russian league I don't think they'll need them.

yeah, chen qi is there, so this will be really easy for ummc.

and i wonder about that, too, why they hired 2 chinese nat'l team players and the only reason i can come up with is that, yes, only one can play at a time, but, also, i think only one of them will actually be available at a time.

cuz hao is on the world cup team, so he's probably in the UAE right now getting ready for tuesday's match.
