It will happen at the Singapore Sports Hub, close to the Singapore National Stadium, where 6 Taylor Swift concerts will take place and there is an overlap in dates (TS March 2-9 and SS March 7-17).
Will any players go watch any of the shows? Will WTT get any Swifties to come watch the tournament? Will there be anyone flying in to Singapore to watch both?

The event is starting soon! Who does everyone think will advance out of qualifiers?

Eight players can make it out. My thoughts: Yukiya Uda, Ibrahima Diaw, Can Akkuzu, Gionis Panagiotis, Jules Rolland, Lilian Bardet, Harmeet Desai, and Yuta Tanaka

EDIT AFTER QR1+2 (4 out of 8): Yukiya Uda, Jinbao Ma (Ibrahima Diaw out), Manav Thakkar (Can Akkuzu out), Daniel Habesohn (Gionis Panagiotis out), Jules Rolland, Lilian Bardet, Benedek Olah (Harmeet Desai out), and Yuta Tanaka

I posted my list on TTD, it was Redminzki, Dyjas, Gionis, Ionescu, Tanaka, Yoshimura, Monteiro, Kubik. Hard to  get the future right, I think I got 3 out of 8 and made myself feel better by having a dark horse category.

Similar to World Championships. Or use a VPN with the location set to a country not listed (such as Canada).

There is some internet chatter about him going to a Taylor Swift concert before he played, and lost.

LYJ went to the concert as well, but he was cruising through. FZD is somehow going through a crisis. Hope he can get over it.

I believe that FZD is starting to suffer his fh technique. He plays his fh right foot closer to table which causes a massive pressure and twist to his hips and lower back. ZJK used a same kind of a fh technique and was forced to retire way too early. I predict that FZD will have a same destiny as ZJK:(.
What is the point of playing safe shots when you can miss with style

ZJK got injured playing doubles, that was too much strain for his body.

Yeah, that twist FZD does sometimes to switch from BH to FH looks brutal.  Schlager did the same thing and his left knee was shredded to pieces.  However, I don't think he will retire early like ZJK because the quota for a top CNT player is five WTTC and two OG appearances.  He needs to win the gold in MS for 2024 Paris if he wants to secure his place in TT history.

wow, never knew there was a quota for Olympic games; even ZJK played two Olympics. Is there somewhere to read about this rule?
We possibly have at least 3 more WTTCs and 2 Olympics to see WCQ in action, that's exciting.

Two WTTC is secure enough for FZD's place in history he would love it to be more secure though. WLQ never won Olympic gold in singles, neither did Wang Hao.  Ma Lin never won a WTTC in singles  There is no WTTC or Olympics quota, its just about performance and most players have failed to withstand the upcoming players, especially after they turn 30, and FZD will likely follow that trend if LSD and others have a say since WCQ is already there.    That Ma Long has held on till 35 is amazing but it has also enabled people to see in real time why Father Time is undefeated.
