If you get to play it, let us know your impressions. It's still reasonably priced and it could be a very good 1-ply Hinoki for all I know. |

How much did you pay for that blade, and where did you get it?
That is not from the same stock of wood as the ones I have. The grains of the $200 blades are much much straighter. They're straighter than anything I've ever seen, in fact. I think that one's the same one that eacheng is selling for $190, which galaxy assures me is a step down from what they sent me. Mine is supposedly 300 year old wood and they claim it retails for $400! I can't imagine that to be true though. |

the 300 yr wood were not selling $400, but $3XX indeed. and for my blade, not 300 yr old but i bought it for more than a hundred dollars, coz it's 95% new, i sell it a hundred. if someone really likes it, i can give a gd price tho~

i think the juic 1 ply, is a better value, less heavy, and around the same thickness. if it was lighter, then i might consider it, even though it is still balanced
