Frankly, guys, what difference 5 gr more can make ?
Comfort ? I feel more bothered with a head heavy 82g blade than with a 91g well balanced.
Besides, you can easily recover these 5 gr with lighter rubbers.
It's all in the head...
I would agree for 15 or 20 g difference, but 5...I'm not even sure you could notice it.

I don't know about Tommy, but my limit is 80 grams. I had arm pains which persisted for a long time, and my blades are all above 85 grams at that time. On one occasion I bought one blade having a weight of 80 grams and gradually the pain vanished. So I started selling my old blades and get new and lighter one. I do still have a few heavier blade but it is more for collection and I seldom play with it.

this blade has a funny shape - maybe indeed it 163x152 as reported by someone above, but not stiga / yasaka / butterfly shaped (it is also different to violin-C).

well i dont know about others, but for me 5 grams definitely makes a noticeable difference. i'm not a great player so i'll probably get used to 5 grams after a session, but for someone good, the point is not to get used to a weight but to stick with what they have always used. i know a lot of people in asia would even weight uncut rubber sheets before buying too - even different batches / sheets of a 'consistent' rubber like sriver do not come with the same weight! |

LachlanTan,
Why not you take out your cost of EMS and then your price will be more competative...?
