Sadius - I did lightly sand the clipper blades last night after the varnish had dried up.  I then use a 100% cotton cloth and buff it.  The blade surfaces look and feel really good.  I am quite happy with the results.

@Tiehwen - Yes, the 3 layers of varnish did add about 2gr to each of my 2 Clipper blades.  Not a big deal to me though.

Yep, it is a "blue-collar" club and not quite trendy, I suppose. Cry

Well, I'm blue collar, white collar, and no collar. It depends on the company I keep. I use the Clipper at work and the Borko at the country club. LOL

I plan to put the rubbers on tomorrow and take it to practice this Sunday.  Any more playing impression from you?  Still liking it?

Still like it, it has a good speed for loop and counter hitting, short game,  short and serve is also good. Only need to adjust on block the opponent slow loop. I need to close blade more. Work very well with H3 provincial and Donic F1. I will test with Bryce speed FX and Bryce FX this week see how fast i can get from it

I'm a blue colar class now. I may have to put my Amultart on the market soon...hahaha

Finally put my new Clipper Wood assemble to work.  I have IQ UL Reg on FH and Sriver on BH.  The total weight came out to be 172 gr which is exactly the same as my Darker 5p-2a setup.   The whole setup looked good and felt good in my hand. It offered good touch for short shots and close to table plays. Looping and driving away from the table got plenty of power and speed. At first I was REALLY concerned with the triple-varnished handle slipping out of my sweaty hand. To my surprise, I was not having any trouble holding on to my racket. My hand was still sweaty as it usually is during games and practices. However, no flying racket or anything like that. :) I even managed to changed my grip slightly between FH and BH as well. Overall, I am pretty happy with this new combo and am glad that I sealed it. I am looking forward to playing with it more. Eventually I will try it out with other rubber combinations to see what would be most suitable for this blade. Cheers to all.

I enjoy them. Classic wood is my favorite which is slowest in clipper family but it still has enough power for close table and mid distance.

my clipper WRB is 82g, but it's custom from europe, cost me some extra cheddar. But it's not impossible.

Custom, eh? Nice, in what way? Just for the lower weight?
