Actually I'm looking for a VERY SOFT rubber with very good topsheet grip and built-in glue effect. I didn't try the latest generation softest Tensors, so I need some suggestions. Maybe something similiar to a Palio topsheet on a parafin boosted 30 deg Dawei sponge, but without tuning or any other additives. I tried Boost TS, it felt good but not enough grip for me. a Baracuda Big Slam would be nice LOL.

Nimbus Sound? Tibhar makes some really soft rubbers imo. I found the grip on my Nimbus soft to be pretty decent, I got good spin out of it, though I've mainly used chinese rubbers so I can't compare it to many euro/jap rubbers for you .

I'd really like to try the euro then
if it is a spinny as tenergy according to William Henzell. If it isn't then he lost the bet on his reputation.

Not playable? Why not? As I mentioned in my orig post, I play with palio topsheets on 30deg. Dawei sponge. I tune it with parafin. It's soft as hell and one of the easiest to play with. Palio tops are very grippy and little tacky. Amazing spin and control not to mention closely as fast as most new gens.

Have you tried Vario Big Slam? Soft with VERY GRIPPY topsheet, very lively soft sponge. Feels about as soft as Dawei Butter sponge but livlier. |

F3 Big Slam was not that grippy as far as I remember. If Vario is better, I may try it.

Not to be confrontational, but just to clarify: if I'm remembering correctly, Henzell's claim about Vega being as spinny as Tenergy was regarding Pro only, not Europe. In fact, according to his review, I don't think he's played with Europe. |

Cornnileau Power is about as soft as F3 BS, and feels gripper and faster to me. Shark II tuned is actually mildly tacky and also has a soft sponge and decent speed.

All logic would suggest that the softer the sponge the less speed so the spin on that spin to speed ratio ought to be higher.
I don't know any rubber where the softer sponge is not more spinny.

True, true... but the only thing I'd add is that the topsheet plays a role as well. In addition to differing sponges between the Pro and Europe, they also have different topsheets--both in composition and (I'm assuming) pip structure. I wouldn't at all be surprised if Pro was much spinnier than Europe. But I could easily be wrong, cuz I'm speculating a bit. :-) |

@spequinox, jackass: very tacky and soft sponge rubbers are not playable. No directional control. i tried several experiments like using galaxy mercury topsheet or ritc 2000 topsheet on very soft 729 reactor sponge or palio 35 GP sponge.
@boz: william henzel didnt say as spinny as tenergy... but said enough spin and more. also he didn't review softer vega, but 47.5 degree hard vega. from hexer experience, i can say softer ones would be less spinny...significantly less than hard sponge tenergy. Hexer: esn, 4th gen, porous sponge, 100% natural rubber (andro claims) Vega Pro: esn, 4th gen, porous sponge, 100% natural rubber (xiom claims) |

@debraj: I didn't mention anything about "very tacky rubber" nor did jackass. I said "grippy", like decent Japanese rubbers. Tensors lacked this until the Hexer/Genius/Baracuda/Vega generation. But those are quite a bit harder than what I'm looking.
@haggisv: I don't know where to get the Cornilleau rubbers. Maybe French webshops? I do wonder about the Haifu Shark. However the tuning effect being temporary is not good. I'm using prafin and may quit it if I find smething close, that's the idea. Do you have any idea about how long does the effect on Shark last? Or, how good is the untuned version? I'm also interested in Roxon 330, Express X-Soft and likes. My Express 2 Red was quite nice regarding grip but the black had strangely lower throw and less grip, which is the oppsite of what I experienced on most rubbers. |

Donic Platin Soft. Is not as new as other tensors recently released, but it has a very grippy topsheet and is soft.
Vega Euro fits your description, I haven't tried it, but I read on different forums what other said about it, is sort of Tenergy 64. My 2 cents: most of the soft rubbers I tried are bottoming out when I hit hard leading to a flatter trajectory with big chances to put the ball in the net or off the table. They are good in the sort game. |

Joola express 2 hasnt enough spin. I am thinking about Palio CJ 8000 Spin, but I didnt try it.
Platin soft is one soft rubber with good grip, but it has little durability. We must wait for tenergy fx :) |

No, now I am playing with baracuda. Its medium. For me good for fh , but bad for bh (good chop, good recieve, but bad first topspin to very choped ball, because i have hard- blade...). So i need something soft , very grippy, high arc, and no too big speed(ten 64 is too much speed, big catapult...is for players, who have training 12-15 in months)
