Some months ago around february, I sanded down the conic handle on my Expert +. The result was amazing but the handle curls around my palm being attracted by it's temperature, thus changing the head angle in the process and greatly affects my strokes, more so in looping where the arc of the stroke is vital when achieving a quality slow or fast loops. For this, I've tried so many ways and got so many surprising results but non were permanent due to that bending attribute in the Expert handle. Tough I've thought of switching to Virtouso which I think is not such a bad idea at al and would surely get one for me later, I've chosen to stay with the Expert for now due to its variety of performance that I continue to discover. At this time, it is a serious power looping beast as well as an aggressive allrounder (this is w/o adding or changing anything on the head). Once again, I have now made a great shape on that handle and would like to keep it. I thought of ways to harden it before, such as adding hard wood fillers externally, but all end up in disappointment. This time I'm thinking of hardening the handle itself, targeting the soft part that is somewhat gummy.and temperature sensitive,,by dipping it on a wood hardener solution for a length of time.I don't know if this is a good idea, is there anything you could advice me with on this? Your thought is greatly appreciated...thanks! Regiz |

Hello mr.Platinus, I bought V king from a US distributor - Megaspin 6 months back however only recently i have started to play with this racket and i simply love its feel and spin. One thing i wanted to point out is mine when weighed said 90.2 g however the tag that came along showed 88g . Could this be due to moisture in air or keeping the blade unused outside for long time ?

The nice feel and good results give birth to a virtuous cycle that may induce enlightenment.

Its a matter of preference. An older blade isnt necessarily better per say. However, most older players will prefer an aged wood in their blade.
Again, its preference. Same goes for weight. Half the people here, will dislike a blade is above 90g. But I cant use a blade below 90g, feels too filmsy. I guess, being 22 does have its benefits. Again, its merely preference. |

Patrick, is that due to just aging of the wood, in your opinion, or from changes in the blade from being played a lot?

Also the blade was not in it's original box. It was loose in the mailing box only. It did have a spec card in it.

Hello, this is my first time to post on this forum. I have spent weeks here researching the experiences of players with osp blades in making a decision as to which blade to INVEST my money. I ordered and just got a Virtuoso- from Megaspin here in the US. I really like the blade! Wonderful touch and control. I would say, on average,. I keep 2 more balls per game on the table longer so I end up winning the point.
That is very significant to me! PLLsystem, when I got my paddle I was very surprised and disappointed to find out that the blade was OVER 2 years old! The card with it stated that it had been made in 2013 06/24. Is this common? I feel like writing to megaspin. That is what I would call very old stock and would like to have known that before I ordered. Could that affect playability of the paddle? Please help. Thank you. |

Sorry about the grave dig, does anyone have any experience with the OSP Ultimate and Virtuoso/V+ compared to modern offerings of composite blades, out of curiosity? My partner swears by these blades all the time.

On March 13 I placed and order with osp and they said that it would take two weeks "due to flood" (I don't know if that meant a flood of orders, or a flood of water). I asked for an update on the status yesterday and I haven't heard back yet.
I hope everything is ok there. |

You don't "sign up". If OSP decide to run a forum test for a new blade, they tend to post here on the forum and people submit their names for consideration. Having a solid reputation and some history of equipment reviewing probably helps your case. You can also keep an eye on OSP's current status by liking their facebook page. They sometimes run promotions that way. Alternatively, some kind forum members may be willing to loan out their blades for you to test... |

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.
