Speaking from a background in Sports Medicine and injury prevention, I would advise anyone in any sport to save money and buy sport specific shoes from a reputable company.

I also use Adidas Sala. At first they may be uncomfortable but, after about a week playing in them they start to break in and mold to your feet. I am also a larger guy to with size 9 Quad E feet and since Adidas tend to run smaller I had no problem fitting into a size 11 and there is not very much extra room in the toe. They are super light and have excellent grip. I give these a 10/10

well i think indoor soccer shoes works well for me... its good... good traction lighter then most other types of shoes... i think its very good for TT types of movement... only thing is its kinda narrow and it has less support... so if thats your concern Volleyball shoes are definitely good!

Take a look 'five finger shoes', helps me stay more on my toes less on my heels, and my knees feel a lot better!
These are by vibram, essentially 'running shoes', on the expensive side. Looks unusual!

For me men volleyball shoes work the best! Asic's make the best! You can get them for about 50 bucks at Sports Authority! You can go wrong with them!

I have wide feet, any suggestions on shoes for TT? I'm currently using wide tennis shoes (NB makes a lot of their shoes in wide) and they're ok, but not great.

I use Umbro Sala Campeonato (S5). Nothing special, relatively soft, and thin. Inside of shoe fabric wears off quickly, after few months. This shoe cant last long.

Problem with most indoor soccer shoes and other shoes like those throwback adidas is that they are overbuilt for TT... They are usually thick leather without good ventilation and they are heavy.
But if you like that style, Puma also makes some very good shoes.

If you are looking for high end shoes, you all should get Diadora. It is considered better shoes than Adidas or Nike. On another note, do you really know where the best sport shoes were made? The answer is Korea. Nike and Adidas quality were GREAT because they contracted to Korea. Now, it goes to other countries, and they are not so good anymore. Trust me, I have been using their shoes for more than 20 years on and off.

These are the ones I'm looking to get next time I need some TT shoes. I
chose the colors cuz those are the colors of my school (even though I'm
too busy to play on the team this year):

Absolutely you can use indoor soccer shoes for TT. It's cheaper and you can find great quality shoes. Just make sure they don't have the flat soles (like running shoes), but a nice rounded gum so you don't roll your ankles when moving side-to-side. I use a pair of Adidas NOVA and they are perfect. It's also a must if you are big-footed like me and need something over a size 12. By the way, if you want the old school look, then check out the Adidas Net 80 shoes. They are so sweet looking, but they'll set you back $50-$60. Oh yeah! |

i bought a pair of indoor soccer shoes out of impulse so i did not stink up my asics running shoes so badly, and they were on sale for $14 lol. they look very similar to tt shoes lol, but with worse support and breathability. i want some nice mizuno's or something pretty badly, but i am too cheap to fork out for them just yet.

Table Tennis shoes for soccer? NO WAY that will work. Just like you mentioned, the materials are not made for soccer. They are NOT strong enough for soccer. I usually wait until Christmas Sale. They will have cheap, but GREAT, shoes for sale. I bought my shoes between $20 to $30, and normally these shoes run between $50 to $100. I use one pair per year, so it's perfect to get a new pair around Christmas Sale at www.soccer.com or soccerpro.com |

I know you shouldnt do it the other way around, tt shoes for football doesn't work, ball slides over the material to easy. I have Energyforce 3 from butterfly, they are amazing!
