Pretty amazing effort so far by Emmanuel Lebesson, beating Fedor Kuzmin and Cheung Yuk.

I think the Chinese have been playing just each other for too long, got into a groove of facing just the Chinese style of play and their small world and are having to adjust to a different mentality again. What you get for only playing in 2 or 3 pro tours a year.

Here's the missing Wang vs He match. I wasn't able to record the whole match because the live stream "went down" during the match Unhappy. This is probably the reason why the match hasn't been uploaded on the ittv site.

Thanks for this vid.

Anyway! All my congratulations to these 2 czech players, Konecny and Gavlas. I didn't expect our players to perform that good!!!! I reckon Korbel is not our nr. 1 anymore))))

This - together with the smoking - begs the very natural question "what exactly did he smoke there?" Wink

this would indeed explain the outragous performance of CQ and ZJK ^_^

i was watching mens doubles round 1 match with the two players from singapore, Liu Zhongze and Ma Liang, and one of them looked very familiar then I remembered back to this video.

and bam! it's the same guy. I just used to watch this video a lot, and thought it was really cool to see him somewhere again.

i want to see how ma long ousted 4-0 HZW  sometime ago, the CNT looks like they dont have a recipe to plays short pips penholders.   OTOH most of the chn players are playing bad  they must be concerned about the trials

MS QF (from the bwin live stream):

Wang Hao (CHN) - Oh Sang Eun (KOR)
Nice match between two of the most "relaxed" players on the tour. They make TT look so easy Thumbs Up

Wang Liqin (CHN) - Xu Xin (CHN)
A MUST-SEE! Very exciting match with comebacks from both players along the way. And don't even get me started on the rallies... Big smile

Yeah, the opposition did better this time, they averaged 1 game won a piece against the Chinese unlike all 4-0 losses last time. Ryu got murdered though...11-4, 11-4, 6-11, 11-1, 11-5, that's 25 points by Ryu vs 50 by Ma Lin, he got outscored 2-1, soooo...Ma Lin is twice as good as RSM?

15-1 record between Ma Lin and RSM. I don't understand why both are Olympic champions.

Would love WLQ to make it to gold again! Unbelievable performance against Xu Xin, who's at his absolute top form. Clap Go WLQ! I'm rooting for Ma Lin to take out Wang Hao and then WLQ to take out Chen Qi and Ma Lin... :D

Look at the double final. A week ago, Wang Hao was partnering Zhang Jike against Ma Lin and Xu Xin. Now it is Wang Hao/Malin vs Zhang Jike/Xu Xin. They are so flexible and yet so good against all opponents.
