Both Ma win.
So the final will be Ma vs Ma.
I was hoping for Wang vs Wang.

When did Ma Long start using stalling tactics? Its becoming really annoying.........he doesnt need to do it on every single point. The mens finals will be the longest stall tactic fest between Ma and Ma......lol

Drunken Kong is not such a good coach obviously.

Wen Jia wins her first ittf title after winning the Chinese National Championship.  Maybe she only does well on home soil, cuz she's been disappointing on the international tours when given the opportunity.

Ma Lin got back to traditional penhold backhand instead of unnatural for him rpb and he won the tournament. That is his best match that I saw since he won Olympics, it is a shame that he didn't produce this kind of form two weeks earlier...

I slept over his match against Wang Hao, but against Ma Long he pulled out some magic shots.

Has China won every title in the tournaments they've participated? or they actually sent some players to Poland, Spain and Brazil open? They will probably skip the incoming four pro tours and come back in next China open at Suzhou.

Ma Lin didn't give Ma Long a chance. Ma Long seemed lost and his only option was exploiting the wide forehand of Ma Lin's. Ma Lin yet again demonstrated that he is THE MASTER when comes to variation, spin, venomous serve, tight short game and surgical forehand attack. He managed to plot the points in advance and controlled the all-out attacking style of the opponent.
Well done Ma Lin! To victor, the spoils!

Wang Hao, ZJK and Ma Lin has played in 6 pro tour events and are eligible for the grand final. Both Wang Liqin and Xu Xin have got 5 events and should be eligible after next China open.Ma Long has 3 only so far. Are we going to see more Ma Long in pro tour after super league or he's gonna miss the grand final again?

never know with such good players.

i think it wasn't expected ma lin to win the beast ma long.

Ma Long is probably at present the best player in the world. But this time a magic Ma Lin beat him.

it is even more surprising because Ma Long completely destroyed Ma Lin in the chinese superleague some weeks ago.

Ma Lin really knows how to use his experience to his advantage... the first 5 games he played very tactical, keeping Ma Long off balance and out of a rhythm. The final game he turned back the clock and played much more offensive and aggressive, like the Ma Lin of old and dominated. That was really a pleasure to watch beyond anything else.
Your play will change your opinion of your equipment more than your equipment will change your opinion of your play.

Great point at 3:28 guys.
Thanks a lot to Nerix,Stef and ttCrawsaive for all videos!
Seo has a decent BH but his FH lacks power. Don't know how ZJK lost to him.

ZJK kinda mentioned it in the interview, he thinks the unfamiliarity with Seo contributed to his bad start, and that he didn't play the mid-distance game well.  WLQ is much more experienced, he had some trouble with Seo's style as well in the beginning(what was it, 3 service return errors IN A ROW?), but he adjusted much more quickly.
Not a good excuse for ZJK. Honestly, ZJK and Seo are not in the same class and ZJK is a recent world champion. He should have handled Seo in whatecer way.
