My relatives from Taiwan got this 93 gr FL handle, very hard to find heavy one in Japan.
Will receive the blade at end of June. These picture are taken by my relatives. Edited by peter79 - 06/05/2013 at 5:54am |

Well I also told the heaviest is 86 gr, so I cancel my order. Just noticed there's pencil mark "93" on the top ply |

Small size FL though, similar to many other BTY's blades.
The problem with small size handle on Korbel FL is that the weight is already around 93 - 95 grams, so I believe by making the handle bigger will only make it heavier. But ZJK ALC is quite light (+/- 85 - 86 grams I presume??), so I guess they can make bigger handle and the weight will be around 93 - 95 grams, which is still acceptable. |

Just like the photo above of the ZJK ALC, the FL handles on the new ZJK series are just a little bit larger/thicker than the traditional Butterfly FL handles. Last week I tried out my friend's ZJK- SuperZLC FL and it felt great.
I still have my TBS skinny FL handle & I put a 1 layer wrap of those cloth bandages

My viscaria is 24 mm thick, zjk alc is 25 mm, so it's thicker. If you want to use small handle blade, you can buy kettler spring hand grip. By exercising your hand muscle, you will feel the handle larger than before.

It's finally arrived, the actual weight is 92.3 gr. the head size is different with viscaria, it's like tb alc head size. Bouncing the ball, I can feel it has more woody feel than Viscaria and any AlC blades, except innerforce alc. Innerforce feels like all wood blades but slow. The handle as expected is more comfortable than Viscaria, it is longer due to the wing which is not as low as Viscaria. The handle has equal thickness from the bottom of the handle towards wing area. Viscaria is thicker at the bottom but towards the wing it's thinner. I feel it's faster and more solid than Viscaria. I will wait for my blue sponge arrive and test it.

I will play with it today, I feel it's harder than Viscaria (both has the same weight) It has more feel/vibration than Viscaria and harder. Butterfly ZJK is harder than Viscaria but it has kind of hollow feel not solid, ZJK ALC is as hard as ZJK but it has no hollow feel. It seems th at the top ply of ALC is thicker and the arylate carbon is placed a little bit more to the center compared to Viscaria. |

Looking at your equipment I see some very interesting equipment combinations, would it be possible to take some pictures and maybe put them into the Picture of your Blade thread?

high level players prefer heavier blades. when you have a light blade, it's good for switching bh and fh and fast counters, but it will not hold a ball as long as a heavier blade. heavier is better for blocking and counter-looping. if he got this per recommendation from a japan pro, they'll weigh and pick out a heavier one. i found a 81g ALC and the store ppl who are college league players put it away and instead picked out an 88g ALC for an old guy who was spending 1k for equipment on his grandson and looking for a "good" blade. i heard them saying the 81g was too light, even calling it "defective".

You will understand if you have tried them both, zjk alc is better than zjk.

personally one is not better than the other, identical built and the major differences between the two are handle shape and weight variation. luckily my ZJK is 86gr which is the ideal weight for me. i do not really believe that a small difference in a blade makes a huge difference to my game. I use the Violin and ZJK and i can play almost equally well with either blades with the same rubbers

However, uptill July 17 Mr.ZJK himself continues to use the Viscaria. I wonder why not use his own branded Butterfly product if its clearly superior to the Viscaria.
