Depends really on what you are talking about.  Are you talking about balls that are little bit near chest height or balls that have lob type properties?

Nowsaday even how spin is the underspin from those cutter or during service, players are able to bring it over using looping or smashing ---
Yes direct attack.
So basic forehand stroke is important if u are playing aggressive/attack
style.
Basically those loop can be break into 4 steps :
1) forehand ready position
2) back swing
3) bring your hand forward (contact of ball)
4) follow through
then repeat from 1) to 4) again.

Things to take note:
a) try to hit the ball (more forward stroke) instead of rubbing it, cos' it is
more easily to control than spin ball.
b) don't pull your hand to far when during (pt 2) back swing and remember
to remain small action.
c) dont start to hit the ball too hard until nobody 1 2 partner with u.
can try a few slow looping then follow by fast one and finally the killing shot.
d) your eyes should always watching the ball and see where it go. try to
place the ball at the desire spot.
e) grip your bat firm but not hard.
f) watch trainning vcd....for more detail ask your coach

there is a sweet point in every action for a particuler
shot.try to make contact with with the ball at that point of time.
in my action of topspin the sweet point is at just above the waist about 1 ft away 5-6 cm front of my body.even a low ball i can hit with good power & control when i make contact at sweet point

if table tennis is to sports, what star wars is to movies, then you must be chewbacca.

If someone really wants to do this right, they should do it as a video. I got really frustrated trying to explain the cutting and gluing stuff so I decided to make some short little videos. It's not that hard to do.

I couldn't agree more. I find it much easier to learn something if I see it visually. That's why we have put together some free online lessons at our website. You can see them at http://www.pingskills.com/lessons.php

I hope you like them.

What is more important in table tennis. Concentration and hand eye co operation is the most important thing here. Without that you could never become a successful player.
