1. BTY: TB ALC + T05 (Current setup)
2. Tibhar: Samsonov Force Pro + MXP Evolution 3. Xiom: V1 + Vega Europe In that order. Not very creative since I like to keep things simple and balanced both sides. Number 1 is obvious, Timo Boll setup. Admire his form very much and finesse of his shots. I will probably be sticking with this setup forever just to improve technique and not to find a reason to blame on equipment when something doesn't work properly. Number 2 is obvious as well, Samsonov setup. Similar to number 1 but always wanted to see what my home country top player uses. Number 3 is just an equivalent to number 1 in terms of OFF- carbon blade + tenergy-like rubbers. Would like to add im not much of an EJ and have not tried many rubbers so that would be another reason to try the bottom two. Edited by DreiZ - 09/13/2014 at 9:37pm |

Fun idea Yogi!
I currently play with Viscaria and T05 FH, JP03 BH. I need power on the FH and a bit more control on the BH. So all the setups below are rough equivalents. For a lot of the blades, these are actually models I'd like to try! Butterfly: Viscaria + T05 FH, T64 BH Joola: Emotion + Maxxx 500 / Maxxx 450 or Rhyzm 425 both sides Donic: Waldner 89 (speculated) + JP02 /JP03 Tibhar: Force Pro (speculated) + MX-P / EL-P Xiom: Vega pro (speculated) + OVP / Vega Japan Andro: Treiber K (speculated) + Rasant Powergrip / Rasant Grip |

So, yogi, why did you go with regular tenzone on FH instead of tenzone ultra?

because i can brush the tenzone 2.0mm on fh like a chinese rubber, the ball sinks onto the sponge when i use ultra or ultra sf so it is better for my backhand. these rubbers are too fast for me in max so i prefer the 2.0mm

I would not. Trying different equipments and feel the subtle differences are part of the fun of playing TT. Thus I realize that there is no ultimate setup to end the EJ journey.

Yogi, I don't believe I have read your review of the Strike Wood 7 yet. How does it play compared to Avenger 7 and Challenge Speed?
