ttnpp is not an actual traditional shop, they source their stuff from china and there is no guarantee they'll get the real deal.

I have visited their website several times. It seems they have (too) many of these limited edition blades in stock. I also want to hear the feedback from previous buyers.

I have a W997 from ttnp and Ma Long V from TT11. Both look pretty similar and quality is great.
ML5 has more flex. And W997 is precision, stable and better feedback.

Between 88g TB, 87g BF, 91g W997.
(I think you have the rubbers set up close to mine, H3 Neo/T05 or T64)
1. TB
From Vis to TB is easy. Once I played to a close level friend. During the set, leading 2-1 with Vis and swapped rubbers to TB and beat him 4-1. Kind of made him mad little. More crisp and feel little harder, little higher throw angle, bites the ball more.

2. BF
Never feel like composite. I often feel like it was a well made 7 plies. Great feedback. Bite the ball good. But when you crush the ball hard, it goes fast. Short ball touch is great too. I like it a lot.
If spinny control loop/game is your style, it is my top pick.
Con(to me): Head is heavy with my setup. My tennis elbow often acts up upon my BH loops.

3. W997
Another step up of power level. It brought me good Wows. I did kill loops more often than above blades. Some time just for Grins and like to see its power. Both Spin n Speed are good. If I have time to train and have good control of inner table games, this is a good one.

190$ blades? I know hurricane hao is similar to pg-something?

The one at ttnpp.com is not real custom blade for national team. It's a copy version but made by DHS.
Just compare marking of the side of the handle:
Here is the comparison between Laser marking and carved marking:

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.113.YN488c&id=43926560792&ns=1&abbucket=14#detail

This ttnpp version:

http://ttnpp.com/store/home/742-dhs-w968-hurricane-long-v-5-national-7.html

This is the real custom:

TG825 is very good. It is not stiff  like Clipper. Kind of flexible and catapult. Might not be good for flat hit at all. It is a great looper blade. Dream combo with H3. It has been my tourney blade.

PG-13 is a control blade.  4 layers of wood and fiber in middle. Strange combo. Not much power but great feeling and good spinny control loops if you could deal with medium speed blade.

So who makes the real custom blades for the national team? I thought it's also by DHS?

Well they are all "real" blades... Some are just made for the national team and those blades the CNT doesn't choose to keep Dhs allow to sell

Not sure either. I always feel like we need kinda stiff blade bc pip is STIFF.Smile
LG used Clipper CR and Wang Tao Avalox7. Both are stiffer than TG825.
I grew up on Classic  5  plies  (Koto outer) with Chinese rubbers. Due to age and weight, I wanted a faster blade. YEO is fast but not feel linear and I could not play short game well. Too bouncy. TG825 is slower than YEO but suit me better.

Hi can you please point out the difference between the two?

TTNPP     http://ttnpp.com/store/home/743-dhs-w997-hurricane-long-v-5-national-long-v-handle-7.html

taobao http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.20141002.4.ziDxej&scm=1007.10009.3949.i42960363040&id=43926560792&pvid=14a5f4b8-5b0c-4211-97d7-0c3385102a26

What do they mean when they compare the red printing to the black on the 7/8 photo down?

According to the taobao seller, the one on photo 7 is the real deal meant for CNT. Photo 8 is replica that is meant for selling to the public. The seller said after the release of photo showing the two blades (0310-1, 0310-2), there are so many W997 replica released to the market. Only till the end of 2014 did they see the real W997.

Actually Ma Long blades look like Laser edged. ML IS NOT WORTH to use the real deal CNT W997?
Might be seller 's Cloud & Mirror tactic to justify his steep price at $360. Dead  I kinda think his is suspicious one.

Normal Ver. (still exclusive line as close market for Prov. players) = Laser edge. Good ones for CNT=Hot metal One by One Hand Stamps numbers. (Why do CNT rackets really need serial# stamp. For what?)
Non-sense, don't you think?

I think they would produce good amount of batch while CNT or top coaches have  priority to hand select before lower dominance  players/coaches.
Or if they want to make different since the production line. They could put any addition letter/mark to distinguish for CNT only or Prov level. Why bother hot metal stamp? Laser could be done with touch of fingers in seconds. Add A or Dot or something.

If you look closely the fonts are different. They are both laser edge/burn as you call it. But the one on the real thing is narrow while the market one is wider. The ML personal blade is the same as pic 7 and not pic 8. There are so many follow ups using the same 2014 March 10th production date as in ML's blade but obviously that is not the case. I think that is what the taobao seller is trying to point out.

Market version as sold by TTNPP
Ma Long's personal blade.

If you zoom in pic.7 of seller. You will see detail of number and letter. They are not
high quality as Ma Long blade burnt. Look at circle of 9 or blurry of W.

The taobao seller is telling us that most W997 on the market are replicas. Whether the one he is selling is genuine CNT stuff or not is another matter. BTW the serial on ML and the 20150109 blade is close enough on the picture.

Kind of matter if he is not selling genuine one. $360 DeadDead  Or if he exaggerates to up his price double when they come from same production line with diff print. Or different year with diff font print.

20140310-3 ML blade.
2014 should be the year. 0310 might be month day or serial# run. I don't understand the point of close enough.
