I definitely agree with point (1).

Regarding point (2), people will get over the difference in bounce eventually, not necessarily quickly.  (Much less time needed for seamless).  By that I mean it takes a couple of months or so before you are completely comfortable.  Remember, these guys have been training a lot with these balls for awhile now.  And being very high level pros, they make it look easy and they make it look good, but it doesn't mean they like it.

It's because he's so physically fit. I wonder what his off-table workout regime is ?

He'll play another 5 years with steady decline but still able to draw crowds

Return of serve has always been a relative weakness of Kreanga. It would be interesting to see how he would have played if his game developed in the Chiquita era.

I think he should take the time to develop the banana since he is still active. Some of his losses must greatly frustrate him... perhaps it showed even in this match.

I am just speculating, but speaking from experience with these things based on what sometimes happens to other pros: you may be surprised that he has tried, but after trying, accepted that that boat just passed him by.  As good as his backhand is, his short arms make it harder to get leverage over the table.  He is probably more comfortable strictly reaching over the table to push.

Hmm. As for short arms, Niwa Koki is a tiny guy but can reach over and banana everything, even managing to take down Ma Long...

Great win for Eugene! Looks like he lost a little weight and is playing slightly more aggressive.

I hear this comment more and more as the months have gone by. I too agree. His movement is so much better allowing him to play more aggressive.

I noticed in this Kreanga match, Eugene tucked in his shirt. That does make him look leaner & meaner!!!  Looks is what it's all about Big smile

When i saw him play tournaments in the GTA, he just left his shirt over his shorts.

PS:  I even remember Gretzky tucking in only the right side of his jersey.

We all do things for a reason, c'mon baby!!!  Clap

I'm still cheering for Eugene to crack top 50
