Hello!
I am looking forward for the new Tibhar rubbers Quantum and Nimbus Delta. In the official site is posted date 15th or 16th June for starting sale, but some suppliers posted 22-23 June as starting date for their sales of these rubbers. I have not any patience to see and check the quality of these new rubbers! From about 4-5 years up to this moment I still haven't find a better than Aurus Soft rubber specially for my game from Tibhar. Both two rubbers will be offered in two versions - soft and hard. Here you can post your imaginations after test. I will post my own for sure when I get them at hand after week or two. |

Tibhar Quantum is an intriguing new concept. It is the first rubber to incorporate the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, which, compressed, states that you can never simultaneously know the exact position and the exact speed of an object. Because everything in the universe behaves like both a particle and a wave at the same time. (Chad Orzel)
So. You don't know exactly where the ball is going to be or how fast it is going. Neither does your opponent. And the ball can simultaneously behave both like a wave and a particle, as can everything else in the universe. Damn. Why wasn't I informed? It is indeed chaos out there, and Tibhar Quantum is the first table tennis rubber developed to both acknowledge and take advantage of that fact. Science marches inexorably on, and the universe is stranger than we can imagine. So is table tennis. . |

I am curios to know if it is some real novelty or just the output of the usual annual marketing wave.

Thanks Ray, but I asked if someone has tested this rubber yet.
I am curious what happened with this brand Tibhar. Month after the official releasing of these new products on the market nobody has posted a single word about them here... I expected to have these rubbers 20 days ago, but it seems someone somewhere hasn't done his job as well in the Tibhar's office. I have not any other explanation. Bad and low quality skilled management in Tibhar. Buying unknown rubbers at not so low price only for test and paying additional taxes for international delivery ...is this a good idea? I don't think so, definitely! |

I am a big fan of Adidas TZU. I have been very happy with my sets
of ZJK Super ZLC with Adidas Tenzone Ultra for FH and TZU SF for BH and Killerspin
Stillo7 with TZU SF for both sides. Since I happened to know that Adidas is
leaving table tennis, my journey to find alternative rubbers is now restarted!
I ordered Tibhar Quantum S to replace my old TZU SF on my very hard and fast carbon blade Killerspin Stillo7 in mid July when seeing the advertisement of the manufacturer “We put focus on catapul at the precise moment of bat/ball contact….. the composition of the sponge produce fantastic playing sensation and a totally regular ball trajectory…”. The rubber is quite softer and lighter than TZU SF. The sponge is orange color with large pores similar to Evolution MX-P. Inverted Pips structures are as picture below. Top sheet is quite thin and looks shiny. I rubbed the poly ball on the top sheet and felt more grip than TZU SF. |

I have tried Tibhar Quantum S for two weeks and found that the
rubber was quite easy to play with XSF 3 stars 40+ seamless ball. Quantum S is
a notch slower and less bouncy than TZU SF, very easy to handle. I was
impressed with the touch and coherent feelings of this rubber and the blade. Third
ball loops against heavy backspin is very good. Pushing is very good too. Passive
block is good but not making trouble to the opponent; active block is more
effective with this rubber.
The best performance of this rubber is that I can flip or brush the short and low balls over the table so that the ball just to clear the net then dip down. Very effective and have nice feelings. In overall, I like this rubber on hard and fast blades as it gave me much feelings and control. This is very good rubber for playing with new poly balls, IMHO (I did try it with old Nittaku Premium and Butterfly 3 stars balls but not like it). I would try Tibhar Quantum with my BTY ZJK Super ZLC or with Off/Off- blade in the next purchase. However, I still very much miss the Adidas TZU and TZU SF when doing counter topspin, explosive strokes from a far distance, and the most importance are moments that I can save or stroke the balls in extreme situation with TZU and TZU SF.

I like Quantum more than Tibhar Evolution Mx-P and EL-P. I have yet tried Mx-S so cannot compare. Edited by tamtam - 08/26/2015 at 4:56am |

What is the differences and why do you like better than the two evolution rubbers you mentioned?

@JohnnyChop: Is quantum softer or harder then mxp?
The Quantum S that I used is softer version of Tibhar Quantum. The is about 45o. MXP is about 47- 48. I don't know about the standard Quantum version (silver) but I guess its hardness could be equivalent to MX-P. @Vanjr: What is the differences and why do you like better than the two evolution rubbers you mentioned? IMHO, Evolution MX-P and EL-P are quite sensitive to incoming spin. They are inferior to Quantum S in terms of control, feelings and touch. Evolution MX-P and EL-P are not very helpful to me when I want to do placement or to change directions of the ball in case the opponents already loaded their spins. Quantum S gives me opportunity to open attacks safely even when receving short services. The best character of this rubber is that I can feel the coherence of the blade and the rubber, even my blade is one of the fastest and hardest carbon blade. For speed, Quantum S is a bit less than Evolution MX-P, but higher than EL-P. For spin, Quantum S is better than MX-P and EL-P. If someone ask me whether Quantum can replace my beloved TZU SF, my answer would be NO (at least at this time when I have played with TZU SF for more than a year).

So... Esn last gen sponge, sparsely spaced pips, like T64. Can we say that Quantum and Quantum S are direct analogs of Donic Acuda Blue P1 and P2, respectively? Could anyone make a comparison, please?
