Hi guys, My friend will be going to Beijing and TianJin in about a week. I would like for him to get back some rubbers. 1. I use H3 and Globe999...so I am asking him those. Should I ask any specific H3? I have heard about national, prov...etc. 2. Anybody knows how much these rubbers cost in China? 3. Any other rubber (Chinese rubbers) I should ask, which is pretty good but difficult to find here? Thanks.

Hey Visse, Nice to seey at MyTT. My lil boy loves your blade you made for us. http://www.table-tennis.com.hk/ http://www.tabletennis.com.tw/index_2.htm * maybe you can get an idea of the prices from these sites. Not exactly but hopefully at least close to what you need. |

unless your friend knows people, he or she cannot just buy national H3 on the street.
buy a 729 Higher III, zeropong doesn't have it. or DHS skylines or TNT II, TNT III. |

Hi Sean!...thanks for the welcome. Your links are pretty helpful, I will ask my Chinese friend to translate. Acc. to pingpongs post my friend will be unable to buy a h3 national from the street. I generally dont like 729 prods. I think I will ask him to get Skyline 2 or 3. There was a link from seans post...which was interesting:
If the above is true, I think I will prefer the Skylines over H, perhaps Skyline 2. How does the cost of skylines compare to H3? |

< language=> > skyline is a bit more xpensive. Better control, yes, but less dynamic and responsive. sky3 almost like a slower h3, sky2 is even slower than sky3 and less spin also. (this is all speaking from an unglued perspective... no idea what happens when glued) The sponges on the skyX are better tho (smoother, better QC)

That graphic says that H2 has more spin than H3, but H3 has more control. I thought H3 had more spin and H2 more speed when I tried them. Maybe it was my sheets.

wfwf, I thought along similar lines too about H2 and H3. H3 may be less tackier than H2? Iamconfound: If sky2 is less spinnnier than sky3, I would prefer sky3. Also, I know you have visited China...can you tell me how much these rubbers (H3's, globe999, skylines etc.) cost there (converted to USD)...as you see my friend is going to Beijing & Tianjin. |

Thats great ttman! Thanks for the reply. Sky3, Globe999, Dawei 388A, milkyway 9000-E are the rubbers I may ask him to get. Any other good ones? |

I'd steer away from 388a unless its' sprungfeder version. 9000e's not bad if it's cheap. The new Venus galaxy rubber is very much better. Very very much.

Cole, why is the venus so much better than 9000e? Is is more spinnier and control? I like spinny rubbers (high tackiness) with good control, not speedy ones. I have a looping game with good arm strength, so I make up for speed and my blade is fast too. How would Venus compare to 9000e (btw I have never used 9000e!) I like h3 and globe999, globe999 is on my bh and its very good for looping, I loop most of the balls with it and it chops well too. I found h3 good...but I think it has lost some tackiness...it is less tackier than 999. I think my fh loops were great when h3 was more tackier, I now miss the table sometimes, so I have to more careful on my fh now. Based on all this info, can you recommend more rubbers? so far...sky3, maybe H3, globe999, what is cj 8000?, venus or 9000e or both, whats wrong with 388a?....thanks.

Hey, Globe is pretty tacky and a good for the looping game. Can get any softness of sponge as well. I don't really like H2/3 for looping, but the Skyline is not bad since it comes with softer sponge. If you want to try something different from 729 Friendship. Try the Focus 1,2,3 rubbers in 2.2mm. It's not really tacky but is very grippy. Is very elastic and has some pickup once it hits the table. It's probably really cheap in China so wouldn't hurt to try it out. It is different than the other rubbers 729 has. |
