Just got one last week. Here's what I think....

1. Very good blade. Good feeling ....fast and Xtremely great control. Grip is a little small, maybe made for Asian players.

2. However, I still feel the retail price($150?) is a little too high.(I bought for $90). Box is beautiful. Warrantee only in Japan.

3. Glued 3 times and every time rim of Sriver G2 FX doesn't stick well to the blade. No problem w/Almana. I don't know why. (I never put some heavy stuff over after glue but will try).

Any Violin users have the same problem?

Violin is the best EVER ! :) The grip is a bit short ( after stiga OC CR :) a tiny bit thick with the the relativly thin head, but still very comfortable. I love it !

Nittaku reckons he uses a Violin, photo evidence says he uses an Acoustic.

Bogeyhunter9,
I am thinking of getting one Violin C-pen, but I am afraid that it is slow, because I find that my Darker 7p2a Carbon slow. How is the speed of Violin compared to other blades for example Sardius or Schlager Carbon ?
Thanks.

It's not slow. BUT I guess it's slower than those 2 coz Sardius and Schlager Carbon are in the "Speed kills" group.

Do you guys think it is good as it's price?

From Nittaku info : I think Violin(Speed 86) and Acoustic(88) are very similar.

No, you're comparing all-wood with arlyate-carbon here.

Have no idea. It's slower than Andro carbon light OFF+, my old one, but not much.

I GUESS it should be the same in speed level or TBS is a little faster coz TBS is the slow to med Arl-Car blade.

But again, no comparison to Schlager carbon. not the same class.

Sorry, I have the penhold version so handle really isn't much an issue since we customise it so much. I'll try and see if I can lay my hands on a digital camera though.

Nope, Chinese penhold. I just sand it down and do other bits and pieces to adjust the balance.

Which one did you take: shake hand, C-pen or J-pen ? And what is the weight that you chose ?

I just got mine today, but didn't weight the blade before installing rubbers. I got the shakehand. The blade appears to be in high quality, but as someone has pointed out before the handle is small. I will test drive it tomorrow.
