I am in need of a can (250ml) or (500ml) of good old speed glue. Where I can purchase it in US ? Or, if you have it, I would like to take it from you. I can buy it, or we can trade it. Let me know, what do you have. Thank you, 💯 niTenis

Slime Rubber Cement is actually pretty good except for its inefficiency for ''gluing'' the rubber onto the blade. It smells bad too, but has pretty good 'speed glue effect'

There are some stores in Europe that still sell it but you can always use vulcanized glue (used in tires)

Just made it by yourself from normal glue.
You need to find and add trichloroethylene. If you have a friend who works in a dry cleaning shop, that will not be difficult to get it. |

It's a known carcinogen according to the US EPA and is no longer used in the US for dry cleaning. Occupational exposure has been suggested to correlate with symptoms of Parkinson's disease. (It is still used in some places for de-greasing metal parts). It's really best to avoid halogenated hydrocarbon solvents!! That is one of the only take away messages I can still remember from my biochemical toxicology class in graduate school. Still not sure why the OP won't use the vulcanizing glue, it is pretty much identical to speed glues that we used right up to the ban. |
