What do you think this blade is worth? I am trying to figure out a fair value for a friend. It looks to be used once. It has a tiny nick on the edge but other than that looks new.

Maybe of high value for collectors, like rare stamps with mistakes in them.

It is very valuable blade. Try to get it as cheap as you can.

There use to be a wood grain rule if I remember right but I no longer see that rule on ITTF. So is the blade legal now?

I'm not too crazy about this particular KC, even w/An. handle, but I'd say in the range of 200s USD for 1 w/immaculate condition?

Skip to:
"2. Blade A very thin layer of lacquer is permitted on the blade, only for the purpose of anchoring wood fibres, thereby facilitating replacement of the racket covering. Anything more than this will be deemed to constitute a layer of plastic, and will not be permitted. This layer may be no more than 0.1 mm thick, and should not hide the wood from sight or touch. It is considered to be part of the blade, rather than part of the thickness of the racket covering."

Th rule is buried in a technical bulletin, its not in the usual rule location.  Later i will try to dig it up.   But definitely still illegal.

Edit: Chairman found it already.  It is always annoying that a lot of stuff -- rules for the sport!! -- is buried in all the technical lealets and the Guide for Match Offiicials and is not all in one place.  A lot of people don't know those things exist, because ITTF doesnt make it easy to find. And don't get me started on their sloppy wording!
