Clipper Wood. Anything above 90g and you'll be fine. The heavier the better.

The best blade ever made for short pips is Butterfly Nitchugo Super/ Senkoh 5. It has thick balsa core.

For penholders with only 1 SP rubber: Senkoh 5.
For penholders with SP and inverted in the BH: 7-ply blades. However, in my opinion, Clipper is too hard for it (old Clipper was perfect). I prefer softer 7-plies like Persson Powerplay or DHS Power G9. I´d like there is a Cpen version of Nittaku Adelie...

In the old days, it will be Avalox P700 and Clipper (thickness ~6.3 mm).
Currently, Clipper (thickness ~7 mm) is still sufficient. |

For what style of play? For short pips FH or short pips BH? I know a short pips player who swears by BTY Schlager Carbon - the notable feature is that the blade is so fast that it is nearly immune to service spin (anything can be pushed back with a light touch). |
