All, please post your impressions / reviews / discussions of Arche in this other thread:

Just got my Arche!
I wanted to report my bounce test. Blade weighs 83.2g. I'm getting: 1331Hz on the FH side, and 1336Hz on the BH size. The difference gets bigger if I use a larger window size for the analysis: with a 8192 size window (same audio file, about 8x times larger window) I get peaks at 1327hz on FH, and 1338hz on BH. That's with 1 minute's worth of bounces on each side. I'm not sure whether this difference between FH and BH is big enough to be significant - or whether it's due to factors I can't control for. Would be curious to know what results other people get on bounce tests with BH vs FH. |

In our part of the borough, the real deal is to take a dip in the Gowanus...
Who knows, an unprotected arm swimming in there might mutate into tentacles that would put Ma Long’s forehand to shame. |

@OhWell, If you mention the bridge, then it is mandatory to add a pic of people jumping off a bridge.

To summarise, here is the list of winners:
Skilled players (in alphabetical order):
Qualified reviewers:
Lucky testers:
I am sending your names to Nexy. As soon as I get instructions about ordering, I will PM them to you. In the meantime, if you didn't yet, please send me your shipping address. I will forward it to Nexy, so that they will be able to cross-check whether the people claiming the free blades are indeed the winners. Edited by arg0 - 01/31/2018 at 3:16pm |

Magic_M,
Jein (for non-German speakers: jein is a German non-word, contraction of ja=yes and nein=no; it's used to mean "yes and no"). Your analysis is true in principle, however see my post above: hunkeelin did not post any previous reviewing experience and was not admitted to the "qualified reviewers" pool. So there are only three candidates left (you, fatt and h0n1g) and you all win, regardless of the numbers you chose. Fatt withdrew and left his place to SmackDAT. If I understand it right, this should be the result of the qualified testers.
Is this correct?

If nobody changed their number since I recorded them, the lucky testers are:
Give me some time to double-check, though. |

OK, the following numbers were drawn on Jan 31 (a few minutes ago), in ascending order (link in the first post):
3 6 8 26 29 38 Lucky testers are those that came closest to the concatenation of the first two numbers, i.e.: 36 Give me some time to check everybody's numbers and do the math. I will then announce the winners. But first, dinner time! |

Hi arg0, does that mean I am able to test this blade? If so, I would like to thank fatt as everyone loves trying a new blade and I will leave a video review once I receive it. Will be trying Aurus Prime on both sides and comparing to my ZJK ALC
If I have misunderstood then I have made a fool of myself haha. Please message me arg0 if I've won!

hunkeelin did not reply on time, so he's out of the "qualified reviewers" pool.
This leaves us with three qualifying "qualified reviewers" and, since there were three blades for them, they all win. fatt withdrew and left his place to SmackDAT. This leaves us with the following: List of selected "skilled players" (in alphabetical order):
List of selected "qualified reviewers":
21 tickets "sold" so far (unless I miscounted). Good luck to all! |

Sorry to hear that, fatt. Hope it clears up and that you can join soon for another test. Since you wrote earlier:
I will indeed give your seat to SmackDAT, if you win the draw. As I see it there are currently only three qualified reviewers, one of them being you and the other two h0n1g and Magic_M. SmackDAT is at least about ex aequo with the fourth-ranked USATT-rated candidate and the only non-US player who sent videos of himself so that we could judge. Stay tuned. |

...aaand the winners are...
After having checked on the official USATT Rating of Jan 25, I can announce the selected "skilled players"! In order of application:
Congratulations to the winners!! I will send you further instructions on how to claim the Arche blade. In the meantime, please send me a PM with your full address, so that I can forward it to Nexy. This will be used to check that the people claiming the free Arche blades are actually you! Thanks to the others for participating in the "skilled players" group. If you were not selected, you can still apply as "lucky tester" or if you wish, or as "qualified reviewer", if you think you qualify. Those based in Europe will also have the opportunity to join the European testing session. PS. Deadline for participating as "qualified reviewer" is in about 12 hours and there are only 4 candidates so far. That reads like a 75% winning chance! Edited by arg0 - 01/27/2018 at 7:30pm |

Hi all,
since I've received more than one application from non-US players and I've no easy way to decide between them, and moreover there's no clear evidence that these players are stronger that the USATT-rated players that applied, I'll stick to the original rules and the USATT Rating. The rating I'll use is dated Jan 25 and is published on https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Table-Tennis/Ratings/Downloadable-Ratings-List This is the direct link. Sorry, but you can still participate in the "lucky testers" category. Actuar90 aready did; SmackDAT would need to choose a number to enter the draw. The others should enter the draw by posting here.
